((Kaneki x Reader)) Broken Down

Hinami

"We have to go now." I stood up.

Kaneki grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "All I want you to know, is to be careful. What we are doing, is dangerous."

I nodded. "Right."

Nishiki handed us masks. "For now." He whispered. "Let's go."

---Time Skip (2 hours)---

"I can't believe we'd end up back here." Kaneki chuckled. "Of all places, we are bound to run into everyone we've worked with."

"It's only been a week, I think it's time we go back to work." I joked lightly ".

Kaneki nodded. "Yeah." It was quiet but audible.

We were back in uniform and had our masks hidden away in our jackets for later. We pulled out our ID cards and headed inside.

"Haise! Yuki!" Mado said surprised. "Oh my god." She strutted over and stared in disbelief. Than frowned and slapped Kaneki. "We started a missing person case on the two of you and now you're back. Unbelievable."

Kaneki touched his cheek and smiled. "We went on a couples getaway!" He laughed as if he was Haise again.

Mado shook her head and sighed. "Please call next time you idiots."

"Will do." I smiled.

Mado than handed me a folder. "Also perfect timing. Since you two are back begin working on this case for me. I'll let the higher ups to delete the missing person case." She began to walk away.

As Mado left our sight we looked at one another and opened the folder. Hinami's picture rested inside. Oddly, we have received the mission of escorting Hinami to the disposal room. "How odd." I studied the case.

"Something isn't right." Kaneki began to walk to the ghoul wing. I followed closely behind him. "When are we supposed to go?"

"In one hour." I looked at the date and time.

"That's enough time to signal everyone." Kaneki clutched something in his pocket. It was the signal device. Press a single button and ghouls will fill this place to fight.

We headed down the corridor and went into the ghoul wing. This is a temporary place for ghouls to reside at until we transfer them somewhere else.

We finally stopped at the containment area that was keeping Hinami. We opened the door and stepped inside. There she was. Quietly sitting down chained up in every way possible.

"Hinami." I whispered.

She looked over to us, with a blank stare. She studied us and than slowly her brown orbs lit up. "Kaneki! (F/N)!"

"Hinami." Kaneki slowly walked over. When a voice came from behind me.

"Ah I see you remember some things as well now?" I turned around as quick as I could and backed up. There he was. As if on cue, Arima stood there in the doorway.

Kaneki grabbed my arm and pulled me back, he than placed the signal device in my hand and went to my ear. "Take Hinami, once you get her signal everyone and get out."

"But Kane-" he interrupted me.

"Just do it."

I paused.

CHOICE:

1.) Stay behind and fight with Kaneki.

2.) Escort Hinami out.
