"How many of your memories came back?" Arima asked seriously.
I shifted nervously in my chair to what would happen with my response. "All of them." I whispered, but before he could say something I asked a question. "So is Haise Kaneki?"
Arima sighed and rested his head on his folded hands. "That's classified."
I felt a spark of anger erupt inside me and I stood up, slamming my hand on the table in the process. "What do you mean classified? Is it classified that I'm (F/N)? Huh?!" I realized what I did and at down quickly. I regained my composure.
Arima stared at me for a second. "It is classified that you are (F/N). I never actually did get to pay my respects to your father." He said randomly.
Dad. I felt tears fall from my eyes. Mom. "What." I wiped them away, but in my attempt to wipe up my sadness they kept coming back.
Arima sat up straight again. "You really do have them back."
I looked at him. "Was. Was that a test?" I sniffled.
Arima then stood up. "We have matters to discuss. Come with me."
I stood up slowly and followed him out of his office. Once again going to a different place.
Haise's POV
I walked down to :re and opened the door. The little bell jingled and I stepped in. A girl with purple hair came and greeted me. "Hello sir. Welcome to :re. You may sit anywhere of your choosing. I'll be with you soon."
I smiled and thanked her. I then sat down at a table in the corner. I wasn't here for coffee. I was here for answers.
Your POV
We walked down a familiar street and stopped at a house. "Is this my home?"
Arima nodded. "Your old home before the accident."
My face saddened. "Why are we here."
Arima began to walk forward. "Follow me." He said ignoring my question.
I did slowly and he lead me inside. Inside was furniture and pictures on the wall from my childhood. He than sat down at the dining room table and I sat down also. "Do you remember this place?"
I nodded. "Yeah. It's my house." I answered again.
He nodded. "Well I brought you here to remind you that you have two lives. Two lives that exist in this world. You need to choose one. Your old life or this one. Choose wisely because if you do choose one, the other will be burned."
My eyes widened. Choose one?
Haise's POV
"I need answers."
The woman tilted her head. "Excuse me sir."
I took out a photo of Yuki. "Do you know who this is?"
The woman looked at the photo and shook her head. "No sir sorry." The woman said with a hint of sadness.
I sighed in defeat and thanked the woman. I than proceeded to leave.
Your POV
Choose? "Right now?"
Arima nodded. "Yes now."
My fave saddened and I opened my mouth. "I still want to be an investigator."
Arima nodded. "That's good. Let's go."
I followed him out of the house and he closed the door. He then proceeded to take out his phone and call someone. "Burn the house."
My old life is now only a memory.
