((Kaneki x Reader)) Broken Down

Snow

I sat on my bed and and studied the photo. Who was this girl?

I sighed and put it in my pocket. I pulled my legs up to my chest and rested my head upon them. I sighed and turned my head to look out the window, it was raining. I fell over on my side and pulled the covers over myself. I laid in bed just thinking about the past few days. Everything just came to me like a rush. First me, then dad, and finally mom. Bad luck has reigned down upon me.

Now I have one more task to do before I can rest for a bit. Find the girl in the photo.

Kaneki promised me that we would go to the address when we got back, so I waited patiently. I felt myself drifting off and I closed my eyes. I heard the door creaking open so I quickly sat up.

Kaneki stepped into the room. "Hey." He said.

"Hey." I pulled my legs back up and rested my head again. I eyed outside the window again.

I felt Kaneki sit down on the bed, I kept my eyes on the window. "You feel any better?"

"Not really."

I then felt Kaneki wrap his arms around me. "It's okay to cry some more."

I then turned and nuzzled into him. I began to cry into his chest as I clutched onto his shirt. "I miss them so much."

Kaneki pet my head and nuzzled closer.

We sat like this for awhile until I felt better a bit. I pulled back and weakly smiled at Kaneki and he smiled back. I am so glad to have him by my side.

He lightly stroked my cheek. "Feeling better?"

"Yeah." I then pulled out the photo and handed it to him. "We need to go here."

Kaneki took the photo and studied it, he then flipped it over and nodded. "Of course."

Kaneki boarded off the train and I held his hand as I also got off. I pulled out the photo again and looked at the address. "Guess we have to find here."

He slowly nodded and I handed the photo to him. He studied the address and nodded some more. "Let's go."

"Okay." I grasped Kaneki's hand more firmly and we began to walk.

Kaneki handed the photo back to me and I put it in my coat pocket.

I felt Kaneki gently squeeze my hand and I looked at him. He was smiling. "I like holding hands with you." I saw him with a light blush on his face.

"I also do to Kaneki." I squeezed his hand back.

We continued walking until Kaneki came to a complete stop. He stopped in front of a hospital and looked at me. "This is the address."

I let go of his hand and took out the photo again. It was the right address and I studied the photo more. I then noticed in small writing a name. Snow (L/N). Who's this? She has the same last name as me. I showed Kaneki the name. "This must be her."

He nodded. "I guess we should go in then."

"Yeah." I grabbed onto Kaneki's hand again and stepped into the hospital. I went to the front desk where a lady was typing something.

"May I help you?" She asked still typing.

"Yes, I'm here as a visitor looking for someone." I gripped the photo in my hand.

"Who is it my dear?"

"Snow (L/N)."

The woman stopped typing and touched her mouse. She began clicking and soon stopped. She looked up at me and smiled. "She hasn't had a visitor for awhile. She's in room 214 on the third floor."

I nodded and smiled back. "Thank you."

"Your welcome." The lady went back to typing.

I turned around and headed towards the elevator. I pushed the button and stepped in first. Kaneki then pressed the third floor button and it lit up. The doors closed and the elevator slowly began to rise. It finally stopped at the third floor and the doors opened. Kaneki and I stepped out and began looking for room 214.

We stopped at a door labeled 214 and I knocked. No one answered so I opened the door and stepped in. Inside was a girl laying on a bed sleeping. She was hooked up to all kinds of machines. She resembled the girl in the picture, so I pulled it out. It was her.

I looked at Kaneki. "That's her."

He looked at me and simply nodded. He let go of my hand and urged me foward. I stepped close to the bed and studied her. Who was she?

A doctor then walked and had a surprised look on his face. "Sorry for being rude, but who are you?"

"Ah!" I turned around and faced the man. I bowed in apology and spoke up. "(F/N) (L/N)."

The man had a look of realization and his face began to sadden. "I see. So you're here for Snow right? You're her sister right?"

"Yes sir, but how did you know?" I slightly raised an eyebrow.

"It's because your parents told me you would visit here one day. That day would be after they passed on, and I assume that they have. Sorry for your loss."

My eyes widened. How did he know that? "H-how?" I stuttered out.

"Your mother and father used to be colleagues until your father joined the CCG and your mother stayed at home since you were born."

"Oh." I paused and looked at the sleeping girl. "Who's this then?"

"That's Snow (L/N). Your sister."

My eyes widened. What?

"She's been in a comma since the age of four. She was attacked by a ghoul and was lucky enough to live. Four years later you were born. Your parents didn't want you to know about it."

I looked at the doctor. She's been in a coma all this time? It's very tragic. Why didn't my parents tell me? "W-why didn't I know?"

The doctor then closed the door to the room and got close to me. "Can you guys keep a secret?"

I looked at Kaneki and nodded. "Yes." Kaneki stepped forward and grabbed my hand. He squeezed lightly.

The man nodded. "It's because she's actually a ghoul."

I gasped. "What?"

"Your parents found we when she was at the age of three. Your mother believed she wasn't able to bear children so they took her in. A year later her father found her and tried to take her life. For a mysterious reason she has been in a coma all these years and hasn't woken up yet."

I looked back at Snow. That explains a lot. "I understand."

"You mustn't tell anyone or else the CCG will get word of it and take Snow away. Your parents wouldn't like that."

I nodded. "Alright. It's our secret then."

Me: Holy mother of plot twist :O Sorry I haven't updated for awhile. Spring break is finally over for me and I had writers block :P Also sorry for random OC XD It was gonna happen sometime.
