Mishti Agarwal , who is an orthopaedic surgeon by profession. No where in her to-do list was to marry someone but what happens when some circumstances makes her tie a knot of marriage with Abir Rajvansh , who is a very know business man of the count...
Mishti returned home and hopped on the bed to sleep but sleep was far away from her eyes. She walked towards the balcony and sat there on the swing and caressed it , before she pulled her legs up and pasted them close to her chest and rested her chin on top of the folded hands which were resting on her legs , looking at the rain drops falling and feeling the cold air on her body. All the flashes started flashing in front of her eyes.
[ A 8 year old of her young self was flashing in front of her eyes who was sitting on study table in her room and all her friends and classmates were waiting for her downstairs.
" Baby are you ready ?" She heard her mother's voice nearer and nearer as she was walking upstairs towards her room.
Hearing her voice she quickly closed her diary and hide it under her books and stood up from her sit adjusting her specs. As her mother entered her room she saw her little princess flashing her a sweet smile.
" Mom , am I not looking like a princess today ?" She said and twirled around , holding both the sides of her blue frock.
" Why will you not ? My little girl is not less than a princess." She said and kissed her forehead.
"Let's go down , everyone is waiting for you. " She held her hand, walking downstairs.
As soon as they reached downstairs , everyone started pouring their wishes and blessings on the little girl. But she wasn't that interested in their wishes but being a good child of her mother she sweetly mouthed thank you to each one.
Done with wishes , it was now time to cut the cake. But her eyes were stuck at the door , waiting for somebody like every year. Her mother knew whom she was waiting for but didn't say anything because she didn't knew how to make her understand , whom she was longing and waiting for will never come.
She looked around and walked towards her mother. Holding her hand she dragged her towards the kitchen saying she wanted to drink water.
" Mom , when will Dad come? Today also he has work , like every year. Why can't he at least wish me for my birthday doesn't he love me?" She asked making her mother go numb.
"Princess—"
" Mom if he isn't coming today or wishing me I won't cut the cake. " She said crossing her arms across her chest , as the tears flow down.
Only thing Karishma hated the most was seeing her little princess cry. She wiped off the tears resting on her cheeks and by cupping her face she made her look at her.
" Baby I promise I will tell you everything about your dad but not now. " She sat on her knees and wiped off the tears which were resting on her cheeks.
" Why not now ?"
" Because you are small to understand the reasons. I'll tell you once you are big enough to understand it maybe when you turn 18. You trust your mom right ?" She just nodded and hugged her mother with her tiny arms.
" So now come on , everyone is waiting for you to cut the cake. " She said breaking the hug and setting her hair properly.
