• Chapter 16 • You aren't sleeping there.

I don't know about the love but from very first day I felt attracted towards her. I have no idea what does she feel about me but , whenever I am with her I feel at peace.

She is my peace.

There are some voids in my life and I feel she is going to fill them and I'll try my best to fill hers.

She might behave normally around everyone but deep down she's hurt. I have seen how vulnerable she is at times.

And I promise I won't let anyone hurt her , not even her , herself.

" Abir. " Ragini called out and he turned to look at her who was still at the door of his room.

" Mom , from when did you started knocking ? " He frowned.

" From today. " She spoke , walking in.

" But , why ? "

" Kiddo , from now onwards this room won't be only yours. You and Mishti will be sharing it so it's my responsibility , not to invade your privacy. " She told him with serious expressions but he could feel teasings in her voice.

" You too. " He sighed heavily , rolling his eyes and she chuckled. Later , she gestured him to sit on the stool lying near the vanity mirror.

" Where are you lost , now ? " She put on the turban on his head and a pearl necklace around his neck.

" Nothing. " He shrugged off.

" There's something. And I know what that something is. " She placed her hands on his shoulders looking at his reflection in the mirror.

" You are thinking about Mishti , right ? " She further asked him and flashed him mischievous smile.

" How do you know ? " He raised his eyebrows.

" I know everything. After all , I'm your mother. "

" The same way you had predicted about ketu. And surprisingly she did it. " She grinned.

" Beta , I know you weren't ready for the marriage at first place but I also know that you will be the best husband. So just relax your tensed muscles. " She patted his right cheek from behind and smiled softly at him.

" Ragini , I bought these Jasmi-- " Ashish stopped his steps and stood where he was looking at his wife. While Abir and Ragini turned to look at him , whose eyes were stuck on his wife.

" God ! Ragini are you planning to kill me ? " He placed his hand on his chest where his heart resides.

" Shut up , Ashish. " She looked at her feet and eyes tightly shut as crimson colour crept on her cheeks. At very moment , Ketki entered holding her phone in the air , blushing.

" Why are y'all making me feel single in 101 ways ? " He frowned , looking at his family.

" You are getting married today , Abir / Bhai. " They yelled together and confused Aarav raised his eyebrows at Ketki from the phone screen and ketki just nodded negatively and passed her phone to Abir.

" Abir Bhai , I'm really sorry. I won't be able to come today, also. " Aarav spoke , sadly.

" And why are you not coming , Aarav ? " Ragini asked.

" Aunt— " he reframed his words as soon as she glared at him. " I mean , Mom. There's this important meeting which can't be postponed. "

" I get you. I know you want to be here as much as you want to be there. Anyways , best of luck. " Abir sighed and smiled softly at him.
