• Chapter 12 • How unromantic ?

As they both returned from their unplanned short exploring trip they stood confused looking at the main door as it was locked. Mishti walked towards her right where there was a flower pot , which had tulsi planted in it , she knew the keys were under it. While Abir pulled his phone out and called Karan. He picked at last ring , murmuring something.

" Find yourself a girl man. " he irritatedly spoke making Abir confuse and roll his eyes.

" Well , hello to you too sir. " He sarcastically replied.

" What gotten into you ? " He heard a girl's laugh and guessed that he was with Naina.

" Sorry to disturb you both , you can carry on with whatever you both were doing. But remember y'all are on public place. " He spoke and hung up the call not even waiting for his response.

He saw too many notifications popping up on main screen at once. Before opening them he turned to look Mishti , who was on floor muttered something and rubbing her lower back. He analysed what might have happened. He sighed giving her 'why-are-you-so-desperate-to-break-your-own-bones' look.

" What are you staring at ? Help me ! " She spoke irritatedly. He forwarded his right hand before holding onto his hand she pulled out the keys. She stood up on her feet holding his hand and mumbled thank you.

" How did you knew the keys were there ?" He asked surprisingly.

" Last time Sharmila aunty did the same thing. No one was back here and she had to leave due to some emergency so she locked the door and kept keys here. " She spoke and he nodded understandingly.

" Oh , but how did you fell ? "

" Are you trying to make fun of me ? " She narrowed her eyes at him.

" Not at all. Can you see me laughing ? I was seriously asking you. " He frowned.

" I just slipped , don't know how. " she looked at floor trying to figure what actually landed her on it.

He bit his inner cheeks to suppress his laugh , feeling that he was failing to supress it he immediately looked at his phone while she stopped looking at floor and started reading something on her phone.

" All of them left for the temple long back and will be returning after having lunch. " She spoke keeping her phone in her pocket and walked towards the door while he followed her.

" I was trying to call you but , the lady other side was continuously saying that it is switched off.

All of us are leaving for the temple rn , if you want to join us then call me or Neil. And if you don't want to Mishti is at home....... ;-) "

He read Karan's message and rolled his eyes imagining his teasing looks and stupid grin on his face. The message was typed , one hour and fifteen minutes back but was received by him now. Since he was on the peak of the mountain there was lack of network there.

" Do you want to join them ? Because Neil had texted me that if you return home then let him know. " She asked.

" Let it be , Mom must have prayed from my side too. But don't you want to join them ? " he asked and looked at her who paused for a second and put the key into keyhole.

" No. " She simply said and continued with her work.

" Tell me what you want to eat , I'll order." Since it was almost lunch time and as informed everyone will have their lunch and return back he asked.
