She pulled me into the hallway, I looked around for anyone but she was right, no one around to be seen. She finally let go of my arm and let me walk beside her. "Sorry, I'm just kinda nervous for tomorrow and I need something to clear my mind and thoughts." I looked over at her, she looked to the ground while she walked, I could tell she was nervous. "Hey no it's fine, I don't mind."
It took us awhile to get there, but we had small chats on the way. As we got to the door, she typed in a code. All most to fast to even notice she was typing in something. And sure enough there it was, the gun range. There were all different types of guns hung up against a wall. She lead my towards them, "are ya any good at aiming Niro?" I chuckled, "I'd say I'm pretty good, what about you?" She also laughed, "I'd say I'm pretty good as well." After she said that she looked at me with a big smile. Her smile was everything, it made you feel safe, warm, god she was beautiful. She looked away blushing, probably cause I had been starring at her. I reached to a small pistol like gun. "Keeping it easy, hmm?"
"Pffft, ya whatever we have all night down here, I could shoot all of these guns if I wanted."After awhile, I had shot about 7 different kinds of guns. Zero was making me laugh the whole time. She finally dared me to try and shoot the longest guns hanging up. "And do you know how I'm supposed to fire this?!" She smiled, "yes you dork, I'll help you." She positioned the gun so the back of it rested on my shoulder, she reached up and moved my arms to were they were supposed to be. Then, she moved closed to my face, she was so close her check was almost touching mine. She reached up and moved my chin to were it need to be. "There, your all set." I could feel her breath against my face. Instead of aiming and firing the gun, I turned my head to were it faced Zero's. It was almost like she wanted me to do that, she didn't move at all when I turned my head.
"Niro..." I was lost in her eyes, "yes Zero?" There was a pause of silence, "we've only known each other for a little while, but, I feel so connected to you. Like you know when you meet those certain people, then you know those are the people you want in your life forever..?" She turned away blushing, "gosh, that sounded really stupid, huh?" I stood up straight and placed the gun down. I reached my hand up to her cheek. "I didn't think it was stupid, I totally get what your trying to say."
She got up on her tippy toes and gave me a kiss on the cheek, then she walked around me to grab the gun and put it back. Wow, I didn't know what to say, but I had to break the god awful silence. "So, uh are you ready for tomorrow, you still nervous?" She sighed, she walked over back to me and grabbed my hand, then we walked to the door. "I'm still nervous, but you help with a lot of the nerves." She looked up and smiled at me.
On our way back, we came to a stop. Zero all of a sudden stopped walking. "Zero, are you ok?" She put her finger over her mouth. She raised her hands up, she was telling me something in sign language. "Do you hear that.?"
I shook my head no, I listened closely. After awhile I could hear a pair of foot steps heading our way. I looked down at Zero in fear. She kept speaking in sign language. "There are troops heading to the gun range, I know who most likely, just act normal." I nodded. After awhile, two guys turned from the hallway. "Oh look, if it isn't the Zabrak, and her friend?" The first one was very tall with dark skin, the other one was short with pale skin and shaggy blonde hair. I think it was pretty obvious I was nervous. "Hey guys, you heading to the gun range?" The short guy spook, "y-yeah we just got d-done with a prisoner t-transfer." He talked with a stutter. The taller one laughed, "ya she was a total bitch with a bad attitude, but pretty smoking hot if I do say so." The shorter one rolled his eyes at him. "We'll see ya guys later!" Zero waved to them as she walked past them, I followed right behind her.
We finally got back to her sleeping quarter, my feet were sore and I was ready to go to sleep.I couldn't even what tomorrow had in plans for us.
