Chapter 35

** Zoey's point of view **

I woke up to the smell of food filling my nostrils and it smelt amazing. Right on time to my stomach started to rumble , I sat up and tossed the blankets off of me an got out of bed. I walked into my bathroom and brushed out my hair for no particular reason than tied it up. Than headed straight for the kitchen where mom was sitting at the table drinking a hot cup of coffee and reading the newspaper " Morning mom " she put the paper down and looked up at me an replied " Morning.. Sweetie I wanted to let you know I scheduled a doctors appointment later today just a check up on your little one"
Good to know I could have done that by myself. " Thanks mom " I walked further into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water I noticed as I was filling my cup up Connor hadn't said a word to me surely he at least heard me talking to my mom.

After I took a drink of my water I set my glass down on the counter and walked towards Connor. " Babe.. is there something wrong? " I asked. Connor flipped the pancake over than put that spatula down than turned and looked at me he grabbed both my hands holding them in his. " Im just worried " Connor said I raised an eye brow " Worried about what? " I asked " What if it's not mine , what if it's Coles? " I stayed quite for a moment I didn't know myself for sure who's it was but I knew it be a while before Id find out. " So... What if it is? " Connor turned away than picked up the pancakes with the spatula and put them on a glass plate. " breakfast is ready " " I don't care about fucking breakfast?!! I wanna know what your thinking what if it is Coles child ..? " I snapped " Zoey... What I'm saying is I need time to myself to clear my head. I just can't.. DONT want to think its Coles kid the thought disgust me. " Connor leaned in to kiss my for head but before he did I pushed him away.

I turned and walked away went back to my room I quickly changed into some fresh clothes than packed up a couple of out fits and stuffed them into an back pack Id owned forever now. I walked into my bathroom an grabbed my brush an tooth brush put them in my back pack I zipped it up. Looking around my room checking to see if there was anything else I needed ah my phone an charger than I hauled my back pack down into the kitchen. I set my stuff down than walked into my moms bedroom " mom? " " Yeah " she answered back " Im gonna stay at Sarah's house for a couple of days " I say " Alright "

With that I walked back into the kitchen and grabbed my back pack avoiding to look at Connor. " Where are you going? " He asked as he finished up the dishes " Away! " I snapped I wasn't really going to Sarah's because that'd be the first place Connor would check. " Zoey I'm just saying.. Maybe we should give this a break so that away we both can think this through." With that I walked away and out the front door making sure I slammed the front door closed. I got into my car an tossed my back pack into the passenger seat I shut the door and started up the car. As I backed out of the drive way I started to think where I really wasn't gonna go to Alice's he will check there or chances are Sarah will tell him to check there. As I was driving down the road i than thought of someone I could go to shes an old friend but also a good one.

Connor doesn't know Lauren well I don't ever remember mentioning anything about her to him. She lives about 45 minutes away from my house I haven't seen her in a long time but hopefully she remembers me. The whole way to her house I was thinking about if this means Connor is leaving me for good or if this is really just a break. When I got to Lauren's house I pulled into her drive way and shut off the engine I got out of the car with out bringing my back than walked towards her front door before I even knocked the door swung open.

" Oh my god! Zoey it's been a long time what brings you to my house? " Lauren asked as she let me in her house than shut the front door. I sighed flopping down onto her living room couch " Me & my boyfriend are having problems well I guess not at this exact moment he isn't my boyfriend " I say Lauren took a seat next to me " Can I ask what happened ? " I inhaled deeply than started to tell Lauren everything that happened starting from that stupid party I went to. " Oh wow sounds like a whole lot of Horrific drama , do you know if you baby is a girl of boy? " Lauren asked. I shook my head no.

" Listen do you mind if I stay here for a while? I don't want to be anywhere near Connor for a little bit. " Lauren gave me a sympathetic smile than answered " Absolutely make your self at home , you can use the extra bedroom upstairs " " Thanks " I say. I got up an grabbed my stuff and fallowed Lauren up the stairs she was showing me which room im staying in. " Here you go " Lauren said as she opened the door. " Holy cow this room is huge actually probably bigger than my own room. Are you sure it'l be okay for me to stay here ? " " Of course it's okay it'l definitely give us time to catch up. How far is your school from here? " I sat on the bed sinking into the mattress it was quite comfortable. " Im not gonna go to school for a couple of days I just need times to myself. " Lauren nodded than walked out.
