Chapter 44

** Zoey's point of view **

From lunch on I waited for school to be over with so I could go ask Connor what happened. Damn! He probably drove home il have to take the bus home because I rode to school with Connor this morning. For the rest of the day rumors were spread around the school actually iv heard several different story's.

Oh yeah can't forget about Sarah there was story's go around the school about her as well. Apparently she beat the fuck out of Casey people said it was pretty bad. Why must physical fighting must be the solution to every little thing that happens nowadays. " Zoey did you hear? Apparently Sarah an Casey are kicked out of school for the rest of the week " Alice said " Iv heard many different things today hard to say what's true an what's not " " Your right about that , hey after school did you want to hang out we could get more things for you child " That sounds fun but not tonight " How about a rain check maybe this weekend? " I asked smiling hoping Alice would agree " Sure that sounds great " Alice said.

Later that day I ended up catching a ride to Connors house with Selena and Sage. I don't know when they became such good friends but I was just glad that I got ride to Connors house. When we finally got to Connors house I was happy " Thanks Selena " " No problem " Selena said back. I opened the door an got out shutting the car door behind me an started walking up to the front door. Before I could reach for the knob the front door opened to see Maggie she didn't look the happiest. " Hi Maggie " I say as she let me inside " hi sweetheart , um Connors not here " She said sadly.

" What... Why?? " Maggie sighed we both walked into the living room an took a seat on the couch " Honey I really don't know he just came home angry grabbed some stuff an took off. But he did say he'd be back later tonight " I starred at Maggie for a moment I wonder if all this had to do with what happened at school. I figured I should tell Maggie what's going on it just might explain his behavior. So I did I gave out little bit details of the bullshit that happened with Cole.

Took me 10 minutes to pretty much get to the point but I could see in Maggie's face that she was starting to understand all this. " Oh my ! I don't think I even had this much drama happening back when I was in school " Maggie said I smiled I love how innocent she sounded. " Do you really think Connor will come back? " I asked I was worried that he wouldn't mainly cause I know that sometimes his anger can get the best of him. " Oh honey , you have nothing to worry about he'l be back there's no way that boy could ever leave you behind. " Maggie said smiling okay I totally loved that answer it totally gave me more hope.

I woke up to loud sounds coming from the living room not to mention whom it was slammed the front door awful hard. I may sound like a baby but I was actually kinda scared to get up never know who it could be. Than Connors bedroom door opened an the lights flipped on " Good god! " I muttered " What the hell happened to you ? " I asked sitting up in Connors bed. His face looked terrible words can't explain how much blood covered his face. His left eye an the right side of his jaw was bruised majorly an clearly swelled up.

His arm had a deep cut on it like something or someone purposely made that mark of course his arm had blood on it to. " Nothing I'm fine " Connor said walking into his bedroom Really ' Nothing ' oh bullshit. I threw the covers off of me an got up out of bed an fallowed Connor into the bathroom. I crossed my arms starring at Connor through the mirror " Connor that reflection of yours that were both starring at is not nothing! What happened? " I asked once more. Connor stayed silent as he washed the blood off of his face an the stained blood that was on his arms.

Kay it was clear he wasn't gonna answer me I walked out of the bathroom an down the hall an went into the kitchen. I looked through the cabinets for a first aid kit after looking through 2 or 3 cabinets I finally found the first aid kit. I grabbed it an headed straight back to Connors bathroom " Well if your not gonna tell me what happened sit so I can clean you u-- " " IM FINE!! okay? " Connor snapped " FUCKING SIT DOWN!!! So I can clean you up!! " I yelled I grabbed Connors arm yes the one that had the big cut on it an dragged him over to the toilet an made him sit down.

He sat there in silence as I dug through the first aid kit every 5 minutes looking for either bandages or alcohol cleaner. I took cotton balls an soaked them with alcohol an lightly dabbed at the cut on Connors arm making sure all the bacteria , germs are gone. He took it like a man an didn't flinch once every time I went to clean off a wound with alcohol. I tried my very best not to hurt his precious face anymore than it already is. First I had to softly wipe off all the stained blood on his face gently in order to get to whatever open wounds there were on his face. Once I was done I cleaned up the mess the bloody wash cloths an cotton balls blah blah ya that. " Babe now that your cleaned up please be a doll an come join me in bed " I say Connor didn't respond back his eyes softened as well as the expression on his face.

He walked into his bedroom an took off his shirt threw it to the floor leaving him in his boxers. I smiled watching him undress it sure was a lovely site. Before joining him in bed I made sure to put away the first aid kit. While I was in the kitchen I grabbed a plastic bag an filled it with ice so Connor could put it on his face for now at least. " Here " I say handing him the bag of ice " What is it? " Connor asked " Right now your savior to your face , the ice will help the swelling go down. An it will also help numb the physical pain your feeling right about now. " I say Connor grabbed the bag an laid it on his face than I crawled into bed and cuddled close to Connor under the blankets an we both fell sound asleep.
