Chapter 39

** Zoey's point of view **

After school i decided to go home an ask mom why the hell Jason is back in our lives. Doesn't she know he's a piece of shit and he still doesn't deserve to be in our lives. I sighed walking out of the front doors of the school I headed straight for my car hopped in an headed straight home. As I was driving home I thought about what I was gonna say to mom when I got there. There was only a million thoughts running through my head but where to start an how do I come about this with out being rude.

I pulled into my drive way thankful my mom was already here 1 so we could get down with conversation an hopping id get a good explanation or I deserve to anyways. I shut off the engine an put my keys in my glove box than got out shutting my car door. I opened the door to smell dinner cooking on the stove smelled amazing. " Mom! " I yelled " She's in the kitchen " Jason said he was sitting on the couch drinking a beer typical nothing new. " Nobody asked you to talk let a loan be here!? " I snapped than headed into the kitchen my mom turned to look at me than gave me a smile " hi sweetheart " she replied.

" What's Jason doing here !? " I snapped once more my mom sighed " I was gonna talk to you about your father I just haven't found the right time to. " I walked an sat at the bar I had trouble sitting up on the stool consider my stomach weighs me down. " He's not my father at least not in my eyes " " Can't you just give him another chance? Look Zoey I know what he did to me an you years ago was wrong but I'm sure he's changed his ways." my mom said that still wasn't a good enough explanation " Zoey you will respect him just as much as you do me , you will treat him like a human an not some demon! " " Not like will get any respect out of him he is an ungrateful pathetic excuse of a father " I say

" Zoey THATS ENOUGH?!! ALL IM FUCKING ASKING IS FOR YOU TO GIVE HIM A CHANCE!! " My mom yelled I sat there an stared at her in silence I got up before leaving I had one last thing to say before leaving. " Well in that case I'm moving out I refuse to be in the same house as him. Call me when he's gone than feel free to let me know how bad he's treated you. "
I went straight to my room an grabbed two suit cases out of my closet an started packing my stuff up everything I needed for the most part. I walked into my bathroom to grab my make up an toothbrush an all that stuff an shoved them in my suit case.

Once I was done I zipped up both suit cases an started to haul them into my car. My mom watched from the hallways as I packed up my stuff into my car there was no more words to be said between us not for now anyways. I shut my trunk an got into my car an started it up I didn't bother to glance up at my mom I just backed out an left with no more words left to be spoken. As I drove back to Connors house I replayed the conversation me an my mom just had in my head. I wondered if I was being a little to stubborn to give Jason another chance hell no I have no reason to give him a second chance. The shit he put us through in the past just isn't worth re living that man won't ever change.

I sighed pulling into Connors driveway I shut of the engine an leaned my head against the steering wheel frustrated with my mom. I got out just as Connor was walking out his front door he looked up at me smiling " Hey baby! " He said happily I shut the car door behind me an walked towards Connor " Hey... " I say sounding slightly depressed he looked down at me an frowned " Is something wrong? " " Yeah my mom is what's wrong!? " I say angrily Connor wrapped his arms around me an pulled me in close for a hug an held me there for a moment as I rested my head on his chest. " Jason's back " I mumbled into Connors chest " Who's Jason?? " I pulled away an responded " unfortunately my father he hasn't been in our lives for a long time because of the shitty man he is. Im afraid moms making the mistake of taking him back " " Come on baby lets go do something to take your mind off of things. " Connor said than grabbed my hand an led me inside his house.

It's been about an hour an half into the movie Titanic we were watching frankly I was getting really Bored even though I love this movie. I untangled myself from Connors arms than sat up to face Connor " What if I can't do this? " I asked as I laid my hand on my stomach " What do you mean? " " This! Being a full time mommy I mean I can barely get by everyday life being in high school an all. " I say pointing to my stomach Connor grabbed my hand an held it in his " Zoey listen to me il be here to help were in this together , il be dammed if I let anything get in between our little family were about to have. " I grinned a little just cause the fact the that he had hope that we could do this. " I love you more than You'll ever know! " I told Connor he grinned an leaned forward to give me only the sweetest kiss that id ever received. We laid back down cuddling together an we watched the rest of titanic at least till we both fell asleep.
