For someone as smart as Bella, it was stupid of her to believe her mom's words when they were driving home from the hospital, because it was obvious, her mom was lying.

So that lead to what happened to Bella on Thursday night.

All the feelings, the tears and even memories.

All of these were because her mom lied to her, and she never noticed.

5:09 PM

Bella was doing her homework for a few hours now. She was trying her best to get some work done, but it's just hard.

She was a hard worker, but not with amnesia in her way. She had many things she didn't understand and needed someone to help her.

That didn't stop her from trying though. She had been working for a while now and desperately needed a break.

So she decided to go and have a snack and maybe check her phone, which had been vibrating for a few hours now whenever Ashton sent her something.

Bella walked out of her room and went to the kitchen to eat something, she noticed her mom setting on the couch and doing nothing.

Which was odd for some reason, because Bella's mom didn't spend time at home just to set and do nothing.

" Hey Bella, can we talk? " her mom called from the living room.

" yesh? " Bella said, chewing on the apple she's eating.

She stood at the doorway, an apple in her right hand and her phone in the other hand, her blue eyes were focused on the screen, reading something Ashton sent her.

She had gray sweatpants on, an oversized shirt and her dark hair was in all directions, a normal look for someone who has been studying for several hours now.

" take a seat " her mom smiled, tapping on the empty seat next to her.

Bella did as told and took a seat next to her mom, putting her phone down on the table and taking another bite from her red apple.

" so? " Bella raised an eyebrow, her gaze switching between her mom and the apple she's eating.

" you lost three years of your life, which means you can't remember this, and as a doctor and your mom, I knew it was better to wait before filling you up with you've messed " Mrs. Marshall told Bella, careful not to say the wrong thing.

" okay? " Bella nodded, waiting for her mom to continue.

She put the apple on the table and stared at her mom, who was taking so long to say what she wanted to say.

" you asked about your dad, and I said he's on a business trip " her mom continued, which was the thing that started the confusion for Bella.

" yeah, and it's taking forever forever " Bella nodded, her eyebrows were frowned together.

" that wasn't true " her mom said, her voice just over a whisper.

Bella's blue eyes widened at what she just heard, not the fact that her mom actually lied to her but she had the audacity to say that to her face.

It confused Bella, her mind immediately travelled to the thoughts of where her father might be.

" okay so where's dad? " Bella managed to say through her shock.

She was trying to stay calm and not panic, because if you think about it, it's terrifying. Where's her dad? Why did her mom lie?

It's terrifying, but Bella was doing a good job at staying calm. For the mean time.
