We're Not Friends

* Flashback *

Two years ago

Monday was Bella's least favorite day of the week, just like every other student.

The hallway would be crowded with sleepy and hangover students, who stumble on their own legs and wish to be anywhere but here.

Each one of them had something to worry about, a test, a new week full of assignments, a teacher they hated. It's just a different reason for each student.

Bella walked down the hallways and went straight to her locker, not bothering to meet any of her friends on her way.

She thought they wouldn't want to go throw a morning group meeting on a Monday morning. So she decided to go get her books and head to class and hopefully she'll see them during lunch.

As she was picking her books from her locker and almost forgetting what class she had, the light coming from the hallway and making it's way to lighten the inside of her locker was covered by a tall shadow.

Bella almost freaked out but calmed herself down because only a few people would be waiting behind her on a Monday morning while she took her books out.

And only one person she knew had this strong cologne that smelled something like fresh mints.

" Lu? " she turned around to face the shadow, only to be met by an excited pair of ocean blue eyes.

He was too excited for a Monday morning, his hands were grabbing the straps of his backpack tightly, causing his knuckles to turn white.

He looked extremely excited for an odd reason, Bella couldn't help but think he had some extra sugar this morning.

" morning " he smiled, biting his lip.

" morning? " Bella replied, sounding so much like a question. " why are you happy? " she chuckled, looking at him up and down and taking in his happy actions.

" I want to take- never mind, just come " he said, grabbing the books Bella had in her hand and shoving them inside her locker then closing it.

Bella didn't have time to comprehend what he was doing because the next thing she knows, he takes her hand in his and starts running in the hallways.

" wait- " Bella tried to yell but they were already outside the school, running away to avoid being caught by any teachers.

When they were at a safe distance, Luke finally stopped running and took a moment to breathe.

" I have a class! " Bella whined, running her fingers through her blonde hair.

" it's not a big deal, I really want to take you to this place " Luke told her. Now they were walking normally, taking some turns to the part of town they don't usually go to.

" is it like that cowboy restaurant? " Bella asked him. Luke had a habit of taking Bella's hand and running away from school. He did that very often.

" no, it's better. You're going to love it " He assured her, and then they continued their walk in complete silence.

They were walking towards the abandoned part of town, it wasn't necessarily a big part of the town, just a park, a few stores and the forest.

No one ever came here, just because it was abandoned and barely had anything interesting. Or even barely had any people.

So walking to the abandoned part of town on a Monday morning with Luke kind of scared Bella a little, but that was Luke. She trusted him.
