The turkey... It was the best turkey Storm had ever tasted, 'holy crap this is amazing', he takes another bite and Deacon laughs, 'yes well, I remember my grandmother having this for dinner every so often when my brother...', she stops suddenly and the whole table goes silent. Storm sees Baloc rests his hand over hers, it's okay sweetie, it's all over, Storm had to admit, the event was still fresh in his mind even though it was years ago, everyone had grown to forget unless there were any reminders. Sure it frightened him, what he had to go through, but he knew it wasn't enough to compare with what Deacon had to go through, especially when it was a sibling.

'Anyway, you guys heard of the theme park that's opening up in a months time'.

Rose quickly spoke up, 'oh yes! It looks rather interesting, I can't wait to take Stacey', Deacon chipped in, but Storm could see the concern written all over Baloc's face. He had told Storm about the panic attacks and nightmares Deacon would have in the middle of the night and how he was so scared for her, and it worried Storm because Baloc Robertson was never scared.

'Storm?'

He almost dropped his fork, 'oh! Sorry, I wasn't paying attention', he felt bad for saying it, but Rosemary laughed, 'you really enjoy the turkey don't you?' her laugh filled him with joy and he flashed a smile, 'yes, you're quite right, it's delicious, I wish I could cook like you Dee'.

'Oh, it's not bad, it's all about seasoning'.

Deacon chuckled, 'has there been any interesting cases lately?' Rosemary leaned her elbows onto the table as she spoke to Storm. She could've asked her dad, but she chose to speak to him instead, and Storm felt his face grow hot once again, and he hoped that no one would notice.

'Uh... no, not at the moment, I mean not that I hope something would happen'.

'Of course, it'd be rather interesting though'.

The rest of the night was quite enjoyable though they had to be careful to avoid running across unwanted memories which was pretty easy to do.
It wasn't long before both Baloc and Storm were at the couch in front of the television whilst the women were in the kitchen drinking some hot tea.

'You like her don't you?'

Storm almost chocked, 'huh?' He glared at his partner in crime, 'my daughter, Rosemary, you like her?' It was quite an awkward question and Storm wasn't so sure how to answer, would he get mad?

'I won't get mad Storm, you're only human, she's an adult -'.

'No, don't be silly, she's a beautiful girl -'.

'Woman'.

'yes, woman, but I don't have any feelings for her'.

He could tell that Baloc wasn't taking the bullshit, he knew Storm like the back of his hand, 'alrighty, whatever you say', but he had a hint of tease in his voice.
The both of them jumped when a phone went off, 'hold on, it's mine', Baloc quickly  answers and Storm watches him for a moment, and he could see his expression slowly grow hard, 'alright, got it', he ended the call and sighed, 'bad news?' Storm asked and he nodded, 'a body showed up near the new theme park', oh... Just when they were all talking about it.
