Leo touched the plastered wall of the hotel room, this place is shit, but it's better than nothing, he looked over to see Marcus already setting up the computers, 'I've set a fire wall to stop people from breaking through, no one can track us here'.
Leo knew that he could trust him, 'I can't believe my life is like this', he said and Marcus stops what he's doing, 'are you okay?' He could hear the hint of worry in Marcus's tone, 'oh yeah, I'm fine just..', he chuckles, 'I just didn't expect to be doing this', he waved his hand around, 'I remember when I was a child, I wanted to be a spy and all that'.
Marcus smiled, but only for a moment, 'I wanted to be a pilot', he heard Marcus say.'Really? A pilot?'.
Marcus frowned, 'yeah? Got a problem with that?' Leo put his hands up and laughed, 'no not at all!' He grabbed the suitcase and started unpacking, 'how long do you think we can stay here?'
'I paid a bit, so we'll be here for quite some time, oh are the guns in there as well?'
Leo pulled them out from the side, 'yep, I'll put them in the safe', he had to make a hard code, but one that he could remember, 'gonna have to put the code into my phone, I don't trust my memory'.
'Go right a head, but be careful'.
Leo hears a whirring sound and he turns to see Marcus smiling at the computer, 'alright, the computers are up and running, we can finally relax, wanna turn on the television?'
Leo grabbed the remote from the little table near the bathroom and pressed the button. The television came to life and they watched a young woman dressed in a bright red dress holding a microphone, 'nice reporter', Marcus chuckles, 'no one really pays attention to the news, they only go on there to see the hot chicks'.
Leo shrugged off his jacket, 'alright, I'm gonna hit the shower', he kicked off his shoes, grabbed his sleepwear and trudged into the bathroom. Again, it looked like shit, but it was better than nothing. He managed to get the fan going and the light looked as if it was on it's last legs. The cold air greeted his skin when he took his shirt off, but that was also because Marcus had opened the door, 'Leo?' Leo just heard his name being called and he looked over his shoulder, 'yeah?''Your back'.
He couldn't see properly, but he still made the effort to reach around to feel for whatever Marcus was pointing to. He heard Marcus chuckle, 'it's a gash and you're not gonna reach it, so calm down, I'll help you, it'll have to be cleaned'.
Usually he would have told him to fuck off but right now, he needed all the help he could get.'How long will we have to run for?'
Leo asked and Marcus shrugged, 'I have no clue, but I really hope it's not for forever, I can't live like that and I think neither can you', Leo stared off into the distance but only winced when Marcus started to clean his wound.
