Things have been quite hectic lately because of juggling work and family. Maybe I should consider asking him for a day off or two, there's no harm in that. Shoot, I will have to explain the reason why I want to do that and I want to keep my personal life private from my work life. Then I think about Alessia and work, that's when I realised that I don't want to keep having my Aunt babysit her, I don't want it to be a burden to her, after some overthinking, I get back to work.

It's now lunchtime and instead of having lunch at a nearby cafe or restaurant, I go to the canteen to get lunch and today I decided to have a salad and a yoghurt to balance it, satisfied with I have I look for a seat, sit down and begin to eat. Whilst I'm eating, my phone starts ringing but it's an unknown number, I scowl. Who could it be? I stop eating and answer the phone.

"Hello, who is this?"She said with hostility.

"It's Sylvaine."She responds with a cheery voice, hoping for me to instantly recognise her name.

"Sylvaine who?"

"Sylvaine Michelakakis....Don't you remember me, Lena bear?"I think for a hot minute and that's when something clicks in my head. I can't believe it's actually her.

"Omg, Michela!"I say, a little too loud because few people turn their heads to me. I mouth 'sorry' to them and continue the phone conversation.

"How are you? I haven't seen or talked to you since graduation?"We start to talk about life in general and what has happened since we left school and then the conversation moves on to what's going in each of our own life. Sylvaine and I were close friends, no scratch that, we were best friends since college but after university, we began to gradually stop talking and I fell out of reach with her.

"So......got a boyfriend  yet?"I knew she was going to ask that.

"No, definitely not after thou-shall-not be-named."I'm so not crossing that bridge. I've sworn off relationships for a reason.

"Oh come on, Lena bear, it's been a long time since that happened. You know what, why don't we hit the club, let's say ...tomorrow?"I sigh, typical Sylvaine. I love her though.

"Club? I have a daughter. Ain't nobody got time for that!"I explain.

"Ooopsie, You do. I forgot, sorry. Well, when can I see Alessia?"She asks.

"Hmmm, maybe this weekend or something. Oh, look how time flies: there are 5 minutes left until the end of lunch"I panic, seeing people starting to leave.

"Okay look, why don't you save my number and text whenever you can to set up a date for us to hang out and meet Alessia, will that do?"I pack up and leave the canteen.

"Yes, that works fine. Bye Michela!"

"Bye, Lena bear!"I end the call and take the stairs to get to the department faster rather than use the elevator.

I walk past Kianna and she has an unreadable expression on her face. I go to my desk and sit down.

                                                                   *** Kianna's POV***

Kianna looks at her and thinks back to the phone conversation that Elena had at lunchtime.

 Elena is a mother?
