02 | cuddles and snuggles

yeonjun's pov ~
"i'll get the popcorn," huening kai told us as he went to go do what he said.

"are we really going to just ignore all of the homework we have and watch movies?" i asked.

"you're one to talk. isn't that what you do all the time?" taehyun teased.

"you're not wrong, but like—"

suddenly, we heard a knock on the door but it was subtle and quiet. a surprised look appeared on my face, but taehyun and huening kai just smiled. it's like they knew who it was.

taehyun opened the door and greeted the person. they came inside. it was beomgyu.

fuck.

i hid myself behind huening kai and covered my face.

"kai! why in the world is he here?!" i whispered to him. he smirked.

"oh you know exactly why. and i know you like him by the way. taehyun told me a few days ago."

"what?! that little bitc—"

"hey. i'm beomgyu," he said to huening kai. he got up and shook his hand, leaving me to be seen. beomgyu looked at me. and we just stared at each other for what felt like an hour.

"aaanywaysss! i'm huening kai. nice to finally meet you," he responded.

"finally?" and another awkward moment of silence.

"oh uh, yeah. taehyun always talks about you so..." huening kai lied. it was definitely because he wanted to meet my crush.

"okay! so we were just watching this movie if you wanna join," taehyun told beomgyu.

"no thanks," he replied as he sat on his phone far away from us. taehyun sighed.

"you better go talk to him later throughout the movie." he told me.

"tae, i'm going to kill you! why did you invite him?!" he stared at me with a killer look in his eyes right after i said that.

"kill me? bitch i'll kill you first and if you don't die, because you're so fucking stubborn, i'll kill you again and make sure you die, fucking rat."

"okay well damn!"

"i'm doing you're stupid ass a favor, just trust me."

beomgyu's pov ~
why the fuck did i even agree to come here in the first place. taehyun is such a liar! he said it would just be him, huening kai, and i. why is that stupid yeonjun here?!

they're dumb as hell if they think i'm going to go anywhere near him. i wanna go home but i don't wanna be rude. i promised i would sleepover and i never break promises.

"what are you doing?" i looked up from my phone and saw just who i guessed was talking to me. i swear to god, it's like he never leaves me alone.

"none of your business."

"well, why don't you join us?"

"i don't wanna be part of this stupid little group if you're in it. i don't wanna talk to you," i aggressively told yeonjun.

"you're boring."

"and you're annoying." after i said that, he just stood there, looking at the ground like a freak.

it's like he didn't know what to do. he didn't know where to put his hands, what pose to make, where he should look. he just awkwardly stood there, being awkward.

i sighed as i stood up and put my phone away.

"fine. i'll watch with you guys," i finally said. "but i'm not sitting next to you. i'll sit by taehyun."

"oh..okay," he quietly said.

i could tell he was jealous. and i don't know how to feel about it. i still don't believe he likes me. there's nothing cool about me, i'm stupid, ugly, a freak, and he's right. i am boring.

all i ever do is watch soobin like a creep, and then get mad at yeonjun for watching me.

but we're the exact same. i'm watching soobin and yeonjun is watching me. so why can't i just get used to it?

taehyun's pov ~
"wake up lovebirds," i told yeonjun and beomgyu. it was the next morning and they fell asleep. while cuddling. huening kai took pictures of them. it was too cute.

they both mumbled as they opened their eyes and looked right at each other.

"ahhh!" they jolted away from one another. yeonjun's face was so red, i'm pretty sure he was dying in that moment.

"w-w-wa-whaaaat happened i—" yeonjun stuttered like never before, but beomgyu just giggled.

"you're so hilarious!" he said as he started laughing. i looked at him like he was crazy. "what?"

"oh no, it's just that i've never seen you laugh. i'm just surprised, that's all.." i stated.

"you've never seen him laugh? haven't you guys been best friends for years?!" yeonjun asked.

"i hate him." beomgyu said. there was a long moment of silence. "just kidding, haha! can't you take a joke?" he looked at me.

but i didn't smile.

beomgyu and i have been friends since we were little. we used to talk to each other every single day. but i just realized that whenever i talked to him, it felt like he didn't want me to. i've never seen him be this happy.

it made me wanna cry. am i a bad friend? what am i doing wrong? how come huening kai always laughs around me but beomgyu doesn't?

am i annoying him? does he not like me? is he not happy? but why is yeonjun, who met him a week ago, making him laugh? does he like him better than me?

but i'm his friend, not yeonjun.

right?
