Chapter 10

One week later

Vanessa's P.O.V

Today is gonna be one hella good day today, I'm going out to the mall with Michael and we're gonna get our hair dyed.He's gonna go full on blue and I'm just getting my tips done blue, But I'm doing more of a mermaid blue so I'm gonna do a darker blue ombré into a lighter blue. I'm wearing a chocker and a pastel colored blue shirt with black jeans and pure white converse, I have a feeling I might turn into a smurf today.

Michael and I were walking around the mall trying to find a good trusty hair salon. "Hey emo" an unfamiliar voice said I looked up from my phone and saw a guy I've never seen before "Can you just leave us alone" Michael said the guy just shrugged and looked at me then back to Michael "what's a pretty girl like that doing with an emo you should be with a guy..more like me you know" the guy said and I felt Michael tense beside me "She's my girlfriend" Michael said confidently "Yeah so just move aside we're to fabulous for you" I said and strutted away while pulling Michael along with me "I love you Ness" I Michael said and chuckled "love you too" I said and smiled

I'm totally in love with my hair,I feel like an actual mermaid I was interrupted in my thoughts by Michael "wait sorry what" I said and looked up at him and grinned "your a giraffe" I said "and your....the cutest panda ever" he said and smiled I chuckled "so what were you saying" I said "I said do you want to go to get something to eat" he said and I nodded. We headed towards the cafeteria and got some--well more like a lot of tacos from Taco Bell. Oh it's been so long. When we found a table to eat I looked up at Michael.

"What? Why are you looking at me like there's something I don't know?" Michael asked me suspiciously. "It's just, who was that guy from before? Why was he so mean to you? Why did he call you emo, you're punk rock?" Mikey laughed at me but then looked at me with a serious and pained expression. I furrowed my eyebrows and reached across the table to hold his hand for comfort. I used my other hand to get a bite of my taco. He smiled at me and said," That was James Randall, he's one of the jocks at school. If you couldn't already tell, he's also an asshole and manwhore." I smiled for a second but turned serious again. "But why was he bullying you?" Michael sighed and said,"The boys and I aren't exactly popular. The people at school don't like our style of music and our music in general. They dress differently than us and they act differently, too."

Michael looked like this upset him so I told him he didn't have to go on. He smiled in relief. We had a fun loving conversation while finishing up our tacos. When we threw out the wrappers and our soda cups the two of us headed to Hot Topic. We got some new band tees there and Mikey got some Manic Manic for when our hair starts to fade. I also got a new nose stud piercing because I haven't changed my ring since I got it. Mikey found me this awesome matching bow and back pack advertising one of my favorite fandom called Homestuck (if you know what HOMESTUCK is bless your soul) I picked out a new earring for Mikey to wear. After we got everything I tried to pay at the register but Mike beat me to it. I glared at him but he sent me his cut innocent face. We went to a few more stores and as we left the mall we spent about $200 in all. Oops sorry mom.

Mikey dropped me off at my house but as we were saying goodbye my mom interrupted and asked why Michael and I were so close. I guess I uh forgot to tell her I had a boyfriend? Michael told her and she inspected him in a mom way. I cleared my voice and mom invited him for dinner. Well that should be eventful. Anyways, Mikey and I headed up to my room. He made himself comfortable because he's been here so many times. Not as my boyfriend though. He patted the spot on my bed next to him so I took off my shoes. Instead of lying down next to him and cuddling, I decided to run up to my bed and playfully land on top of him and then cuddle on top of him. When I did so he groaned from the sudden impact. I chuckled and got off him, I smiled and got off my bed "you know what happened earlier" I said "no" he replied "well I put my foot on my chair so I can tie my shoes..but then the chair fell and I hit my side in my desk" I stopped then I continued "I was on the floor and when I got up...I realized that the chair leg broke off" I finished and held up the chair leg "if someone wants to mess with me" I said and chuckled "I have a chair leg watch out" I said and swung the chair leg in the air "okay that's weird" I said and threw the chair leg across the room and walked over to Michael "so I think dinners ready we should go downstairs" I said and pulled him up and ran downstairs and I sat down and Michael sat beside me. My mom sat down and put out my favorite dish spaghetti "spaghetti yes" I said and took a spoonful. "Ness why don't you set out napkins for everyone" my suggested "but mom I was just gonna start eating" I groaned and she glared at me "fine" I said and got out the napkins from the cupboard and set when out for everyone then I sat back down "Ness where's your dad" Michael asked and I frowned "he....d-died" I said and wiped away my tears before anyone could see. I already lost my appetite, "mom I'm full" I said and pushed away the plate "honey you only ate about two spoons" my mom said "but I had tacos earlier" I said and she nodded I put my plate in the sink and went upstairs I walked into my room and sat down on the floor and rested my head on the wall. "dad please...come back" I silently cried "Ness" I heard Michaels muffled voice say "I'm sorry I didn't know" Michael apologized "no..no it's okay you didn't know..just like you said" I said and got up and opened my door "don't cry" he said and wiped away my tears with the pad of his thumb I hugged him tightly and after what seems to be awhile I let go and chuckled "I'm sorry it..just always seems to get to me" I said and wiped away my tears and smiled "see I'm okay" I said and kissed him on the cheek "good.. I should get going you know my mom is probably worried" he said "I'll walk you out" I said and walked out the door while Michael following behind. Once we got to the door I turned around "bye Mikey" I said "bye Ness" Michael said and I pecked him on the lips and he went out the door. I smiled and ran up to my room and texted Maddie.

A/N hey guys it's Emmy and you see I mentioned something called Homestuck! If you know what HOMESTUCK is.. Woah what's up with the capitals. Anyways if you know what homestuck is or ever heard of it please read it. It's a web comic and you can just search it up and it will come up. And just to tell you guys it's pretty boring in the beginning but then it's gets really interesting.
