Maddie POV

"C'mon Luke! Please tell me! You know I hate surprises!" I whine to Luke. We have been driving for the past 20 minutes and he hasn't said anything about it.

"If you keep whining I'll take the long way so it takes longer. I've been taking detours ya know." Luke said smirking. Dear Lord those lips. I just wanna kiss that smirk off his face. But reluctantly I stopped whining and didn't kiss him. We could have gotten into an accident if I did kiss him so, yeah.

We had a normal conversation while we drove to our destination. Suddenly Beside You started playing on NOVA and I screeched. I looked over and saw Luke smiling also. Aww I'm so proud of him and the boys. I cranked up the volume and belted out the lyrics. I hadn't even realized we were at a stop light and Luke had taken a picture of me. All that has taken the energy out of me and I slowly drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

--------TIME SKIP--------

"Maddie. Maddie. Princess wake up we're here." I slowly peeled my eyes open and saw Fluke peering down at me, trying to wake me up.

"Alright. I'm up! Where are we?" I got up and asked excitedly. Fortunately/unfortunately for me when I wake up I usually can't go back to sleep.

Luke chuckled when he saw how exited I was. He extended his hand out to me and led me out of the car. When I stepped out I saw bright flashing lights and music playing. We were at the carnival. My eyes brightened with a childlike gleam. I looked at Luke who had the same expression. I tugged on his hand and we ran to the ticket booth.

Luke insisted to pay for it all and almost did until I gave half the amount first before him. Luke glared and me. I sent him an innocent smile. The person in the booth looked at us with a smile and gave us the tickets. We thanked her and went to the different booths and rides in the carnival. Luke even won the both of us stuffed penguins. We ate funnel cake and shared a red slushie. We did almost everything. There was one thing left though. The Ferris wheel.

Luke and I were strolling around the carnival holding hands when I asked him,"Hey Luke?"

"Yeah babe?" I flushed at the nickname. I wasn't used to it yet

"Can we uh go on the Ferris wheel? I've never been on one before..."I trailed off towards the end looking down. Luke suddenly stopped walking and used his other hand to push my chin up, making me look up at him with pink cheeks.

"You shouldn't look down when you're blushing. Its cute that I can do that to you. And of course,we can go on the Ferris wheel! I get to be the first person to ride one with you!" Luke exclaimed. We headed over to the Ferris wheel and waited on line. When we were the next ones to go on I got really exited.

We sat down and the wheel started turning. My eyes widened and I looked at the view. The lights of the carnival were bright and full of happiness. The people at the fair--couples, parents and their children, friends in general--were all so lively, as if they didn't have a worry in the world. Everyone was in nirvana. There was just pure bliss going around. I looked at my amazing date and wore a big smile. His eyes just looked ate me in pure awe.

We stopped at the top when the people at the bottom started getting off. But when our cart stopped. Luke suddenly crashed his lips onto mine, surprising me for a moment before I kissed back. His lips and mine moved perfectly in sync like they were made for each other. Luke's lips were so soft that it can't be natural. He's probably got some good chapstick. We pulled away when the cart started moving again.

"What was that for?" I asked breathless. Luke smiled.

"I've just been waiting to do that all night and you were too beautiful to resist." He said blushing

"You shouldn't look down when you're blushing. Its cute that I can do that to you." I said repeating his words from before.

"I'm gonna take you somewhere after we get off."

We got off and Luke threw me over his shoulder. Damn they're broad. I screamed a little in surprise but he just continued to carry me somewhere while I slowly drift off to fantasy land...Again.

I woke up to freezing cold water. I screamed at the sudden contact. I look over and see LUke laughing his ass off. Well at least he had the decency to take off my clothes. Wait what?!

"Aw fuck you Hemmings! Now give me a hand out of here us big meanie." I said childishly.

"Nope. That's an old trick. I'm not falling for that." Luke said with a big smile on his face. I pouted. He still thinks waking me up like that is funny! Well if it wasn't me yeah it would be...but it isn't!

"I'm not tricking you. It's fucking freezing!" I responded shivering. Luke's big blue eyes widen when he saw I really wasn't tricking him and pulled me out. Guilt blazed in his eyes.

I nudged him and gave an encouraging smile."It's ok Fluke. Don't be sorry. You know I'm not a morning person. Anyways where are my clothes?"

Luke wrapped his arms around me and led me farther away from the coastline. Luke just shrugged it off saying,"So you don't get cold." I just nodded and cuddled into him more, absorbing his warmth. He chuckled at my reation.

I saw a neat pile of cloths laying befor us and I picked them up. I put my clothes on again, but felt a gaze upon me. I felt two long arms wrap around my waist and a chin on my head and tensed up. I look up to see if it's Luke. Just in case. I don't want any creepy perverts hands around my waist. When I looked up and saw it was Luke I immediately relaxed and melted into his arms.

We just sat down on the sand in a comfortable silence. it was such a cliche chick flick/fanfiction moment. Maybe I'll go far enough to say it was Tumblr looking. Luke's hands were around my waist still but now laced within my own, his head was resting on top of mine while I lay on his toned chest--why he's insecure about himself, I may never know--and I was sitting between his long legs. We star gazed together for only God know's how long. We quietly hummed here and there. When there was no sound other than the soft breeze of the ocean breath and the soothing sounds of the soft, melodic sounds of the sea, Luke would whisper sweet nothings in my ear or kiss me sweetly.

Midnight slowly started creeping around below our noses. I informed Luke and he sighed. He stood up, brushed the sand off his clothes and offered me a hand. I gladly accepted it and mimicked him from a second ago. Oh how I just want this moment to last forever. I look at my amazing date straight in the eyes. I start to lean in and he does aswell. I stop right before our lips meet, waiting for Luke to make the final move. He then leans in giving me a long and passionate display of affection. Of course I immediately respond. Our lips move together and piece together like a puzzle piece. It was magical. All those things romantics say about sparks and fieworks are real. I felt it and it made me feel like the only girl that ever mattered to Luke. I hope he feels the same way.

When our lips detatch from each other Luke rests his forehead on my own. Slightly out of breath he looks me in the eyes with hope and says in a hushed voice,"Be my girlfriend?" I smile and didnt hesitate to nod me head. Luke smiles back and gives me a short weet kiss compared to the heated one we just had. I blush at the memory.

"To the stars align?" My penguin of a boyfriend askes. Boyfriend. I like the sound of that. It's been a while since I've heard it also.

I smile and respond," To the stars align"

"Perhaps to the stars align will be our always." Luke smirks. i smirk back at him.

"Oh you didn't know? Well Dr.Fluke,"I whisper the last part,"It already is." I wink and head towards the car. I can't help but feel butterflies flutter through my body. No matter how hard I try I can't control it. If this is what it's like to be in a kind, genuine, loving relationship...I don't ever want to fuck up and lose it. I want to wake up to the feeling every morning when I wake up. And to whoever that person who makes me this happy, it could still be Luke or someone I havven't met yet, I want them to make me feel loved because I will love that person wherever you are.
