Chapter 20

A/N: Hey guys it's Ashley. I know its been a while since you've heard from me but...TADA! I'm sorry about the slow updates but finals are less than 2 weeks away and Emmy got her IPad taken away. The weight is on me now. I will try to update faster and more frequently in the summer but it all depends on what I have planned. I almost forgot! Maddie POV:
I slowly approach Luke, trying to act like nothing is wrong. At first Luke smiles and grabs my hand. We look over and see Michael give Ness a quick kiss. Then they're off, slightly swinging their entwined hands as they go.

I was about to walk along behind them but Luke kept his ground, keeping me in place through his firm grip on my hand. I looked up at him and gave a confused look.

"Maddie, what's wrong? You seem off."

"Babe there's nothing wrong. C'mon lets go. I still need to get my schedule. I need to see what classes our lil group and I have in common." I say dragging Luke along. I really wanted to avoid this conversation. As we were were walking he continued on the topic though.

"I know there's something up. I can tell by how awkward you are. Did I do something wrong? If I did I can fix it, I promise."He said panicked.

"No! Absolutely not. It was actually me from this morning's text..." I trailed off. Suddenly, Luke stopped walking and started hysterical laughing. I gave him my signature this-isn't-funny look. He regained composure and responded to me.

"Madelyn Madrano. You obviously didn't read what I responded to your confession, did you?" I shook my head no. He took out his phone and showed me what he texted.

Oohh okay love you!!

I love you too princess. To the stars align.

I spontaneously jump up on my awesome boyfriend and wrap my arms around his neck. He in turn held me tight while still being gentle. Luke leaned in and gave me a short but sweet kiss. Our moment was interuppted by some jackasses.

"C'mon lovebirds. I don't wanna be late cos of you!" Ness said.

Luke rolled his eyes and set me down. We entwined our hands once again and made our way to school. I can only hope that nothing ruins this when I already know something's gonna happen. Something always does cos this aint any damn fanfiction.

----------TIME SKIP--------
When we arrive it was quarter to 9. Ness and I got our schedule and saw we had a English, World History, French, and the two holiest periods: lunch & free period together. I saw all my classes were with Luke since he was my school guide. I smirked when I saw this. All Luke did was wink. Calum and Ness had the same classes since he was her guide.

Michael was in the year above us so all we had was lunch with him. Luke and I had AP Algebra and AP Chemistry so we had classes with the seniors (aka Michael). Ashton graduated the year before so all he does is drop Cal off since they live close to each other.

When the bell rung Luke, Calum, Ness and I headed off to world history. The teacher of the class introduced himself as Mr. Conred. He started explaining what type of things we would be dong this semester. After a list of things hee said he wanted new kids to introduce themselves. Oh gosh, this is a new person's worst nightmare. Especially when you're short cos people will look at you like a child.

I started to quietly pray and sink into my seat, hoping he wouldn't notice me. Mr. Conred looked in our direction. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck--

"How about you two young ladies? I don't recognize you both."He said with his thick Aussie accent. Fuck you life.I took a deep breath and sighed. Ness and I stood up and introduced ourselves to a whole bunch of hormornal teenagers.

"Hey there. My name's Maddie. I'm from America if you couldn't already tell by the way I'm talking. If you only realize im American now, you are an idiot." I said and took my seat.

"Sup, I'm Vanessa and I'm also from America because Maddie and I are cool that way."

Some people laughed at this while others ducked their heads in embarrassment. I chuckle at those select few. Mr. Conred however had one of those bitch rest faces on.

"That was a...forward introduction Maddie, Vanessa. You said you were from the United States, right? What state? Based on how comfortable you bith are with each other I'm guessing you both know each other...or is it an American thing?"

Ness stood up before I could,"Okay firstly, wow rude much?" She said in her sassy voice.

"Second, this female dog right next to me is pretty much my sister." I said and jumped on her back.

Everyone in the class went berserk. Our teacher however...that was a different story.

"I'll let you two slide today since its youre first, but I will not tolerate you're attitude understand? You didn't even answer my question."

Some random kid jumped in and said,"Well technically they did answer your second question."

"Haha! I like you already dude!" I announced.

Ness got a little serious and said," Yes we're both from the state of New York."

Mr. Conrad was about to talk when the bell cut him off. Haha thats what you get Mr. Permanent-Bitch-Rest-Face for talking most of the period of what we're doing this semester. We all grabbed our bags and headed out of class. Luke pulled me to the side first and gave me a long kiss in the middle of the hallway.

When we finally broke apart I looked at him with a shocked look. He's never that intimate in public. Not even in front of Ness and the boys.

"What the hell was that for?"

"Just because...Well actually show everyone you're mine. It was also the tell you how sexy you were when you talked to Mr. Conrad with Ness." Luke said kinda awkwardly. I laughtled and gave him a quick kiss again.

"It's good to see my awkward penguin even thought the confident lion was hot. He should come out some more." I said being flirty

"We'll just have to wait and see, won't we?"Luke flirted back.

I giggled and said,"Well come on Dr. Fluke, I don't wanna be late for class. Unless Confident Hemmings wants to tell our teacher why we're late?"

Luke's eyes widen as the warning bell rings. He orders me to hop on his back so I do. He is making quick long strides trying to beat the bell. I laugh at how much of a goodie he is for being early for class. I give him a soft kiss right behind his ear and lay my head on his back. Who knew school could actually be fun?
