It's been 2 days since what happened, happened. Beomgyu woke up at the first day of being confined in the hospital, without even looking as if he was badly beaten up by a few guys just few days ago. He was surprisingly the same Beomgyu with a cheerful smile, as if he didn't endured something painful. But beyond celebrating that Beomgyu is finally okay, y/n was still faking a smile as Soobin was still gone asleep for the past two days.
Day after day, after her class, she will rush over Soobin's hospital room to see if he's already awake. But to her dissatisfaction, he's still asleep.
Some of the nurses inside the hospital were confused on why there are few strange things were seen from their patient, Soobin that they never saw from their past ordinary patients. But y/n and the other guys only stayed quiet and just didn't answered all their questions, because it wil for surely freak the whole hospital out once they knew that there's a demon confined in their hospital.
"Wake up now, Soobin... you have already missing out a lot." she mumbled, referring to the homeworks and activities their teachers threw on them these past days, that even her is worried if Soobin can be able to finish all of it.
y/n almost jolted up in shock, after hearing a knock from the door which she assumed to be Beomgyu since he promised to come in Soobin's hospital room once he finally finished his homeworks. "Come in"
When y/n turned her eyes to look at Beomgyu, she was surprised to see someone instead of Beomgyu. "Yeonjun?"
......
An uncomfortable silence grew in between them, as they are sitting beside each other at the side of Soobin's hospital bed. y/n was nearly suffocated with the silence, however, she couldn't think of any topic to start a conversation with him. Besides, she barely even know this guy completely.
"I heard that he saved you... again" y/n averted her eyes up to the man beside her, who's now looking down at the sleeping Soobin in front of them.
She cleared her throat before nodding slowly and looking away. The same feeling of guilt crept inside her once again, as she remembered what happened. "He must have been really in love with you" there's something Yeonjun mumbled weakly that wasn't loud enough for her to hear it. But she was for sure that Yeonjun said something. But she wasn't that sure what he exactly said.
She was about to ask him what he said, since she doesn't seem to hear it at all. But before she could ever ask a question, Yeonjun asked "do you love him?"
y/n's eyes widened as she felt anxious with the sudden question he threw. "h-huh? W-what are you talking about? Who?"
"Soobin..." Yeonjun answered simply, as he met her eyes by chance.
y/n clearly have no idea why he suddenly asked that question out of nowhere. If she's going to be honest, she still doesn't know what exactly the real answer is to that question. However, words escaped from her lips as if the parts of her body have its own mind to move. And she answered, "y-yes... I love him"
her eyes squinted in confusion when he heard a chuckle coming out from Yeonjun's lips. A painful chuckle. "he really gets what he wants, huh?"
"what do you mean?" she asked innocently.
Her eyes soon widened after she saw a tear of pain escaping from Yeonjun's left eye, until it faded too quickly that even y/n was contemplating whether what she saw was only part of her illusion.
"I've been fighting for the past you can't even remember" he mumbled too weak, that y/n had no chance to hear it. Out of curiosity, she wants to ask him and repeat what he said for the second time. However, he cut her by speaking again.
"My brother wins... everytime. And all I can do is to accept my lost" that's the last thing he said, before standing up and leaving the room with his shoulders all down and leaving a painful atmosphere inside the room.
And y/n could never be wrong... before he stood up and completely left her, something out of the corner of his eyes fell continuously. She could never be wrong with what her two eyes saw escaping from Yeonjun's eyes earlier.... tears. Tears that was filled with sadness and regrets. She couldn't afford to ask him because it was too late to ask as he already left the room. But she was for sure that the reason of those tears were more than enough painful for letting a grown up demon cry...
