Hi fam! So if anyone is confused, i'm gonna spill the tea to you guys now... so if you can remember in the book 1, Soobin told the story in which he was the victim and it was his brother Yeonjun who killed y/n. But the truth is, Soobin was the one who killed her, killed himself and became a demon. He's stronger than Yeonjun, and he can erase anyone's memories even his own kind but erasing memories of a co-demon would cause his powers to be temporarily gone. In the book 1, he lost his powers because he erased Yeonjun's memories. (if you have questions i would gladly answer it)

In this book 2, he finally regain his powers as it's already been centuries ago. What he told to y/n in the book 1 were all a lie, he did that because of love. He even told himself many times that what he said to y/n were all true, he lied to himself as well wanting to forget the sin he had made. He's the bad guy tbh, but eventually, he changed because of her. However, Yeonjun came into their lives again, finally remembering all what happened. (i hate myself for making such confusing plot twists i am very sorry)

y/n was left speechless, the fictional story Yeonjun told them was nothing but a tragic ending for her. Despite her keen focus on trying to comprehend the story he told, she was left in tears even if she knew that it was all just from his imaginative mind. All just a fictional story he made for the kids and finished for her. "T-that's it?"

"I hate the younger brother! How can his conscience get away from that sin!?" she bursted out in anger, raising a fist aiming for a punch for that younger brother from the story Yeonjun told.

Yeonjun laughed to what she acted and found it cute at the same time. When he shifted his eyes to Soobin who's now looking all down with his trembling fist clenched is what made Yeonjun smirked triumphantly.

Yeonjun's mouth agape and was about to speak but he stopped when y/n suddenly stood up holding her stomach when it suddenly rumbled up in pain, "Excuse me for a minute!" she excused herself as she bowed politely to Yeonjun and rushed upstairs to her room to do something that could stop the pain she's feeling.

When y/n left Soobin and Yeonjun alone together in the living room, there was an unbeatable silence growing up in between them, being a barrier that is stopping them from further talking to each other. A muffled atmosphere that everyone should be afraid of encountering between the two powerful demons.

"When did you start remembering all of that?" Soobin asked, once he was assured that y/n finally went upstairs to her room and will not be able to hear what him and Yeonjun about to talk with right now.

Stronger demons who have two or more sins have the power to erase memories. Even their own kind. Soobin was sure he erased all memories of Yeonjun from the beginning up until the very last detail of what truly happened. But erasing your own kind's memories will cost your powers to be removed temporarily. So what had been happening right now is beyond his expectations. He thought he will be forever living with the lie and get away from the sin he had made. However, Yeonjun seemed to did something for him to regain his true memories.

"All this time... I was suffering and regretting from the mistake I didn't even made..." yeonjun started to speak in a low monotone voice, as his hand started balding into a fist of mixed anger and grudge.

However, he wished he just didn't remembered it at all. Because those fresh memories of pain just triggered him from wanting more than just taking what's originally his. He wanted his brother to suffer just like what he experienced. He wanted Soobin to feel the same thing he felt. He wanted more than just taking y/n back.

"You made me look like the villain when in fact I was supposed to be the main character." Yeonjun looked at his brother, Soobin who's now seemingly avoiding his gaze.

Yeonjun felt satisfied, with all the fear he's sensing from Soobin who's now obviously fearing the fact that he might be successful to steal y/n away from him. A triumphant smile crept on his face, all is well according to his plan. "Damn brother, you're desperate too much to steal what's originally mine."

But Yeonjun was left speechless when Soobin suddenly walk towards him and slowly kneeled in front of him, bowing as he pleaded in between his crying,  "I'm sorry... but please let her be mine. Let me make things right... I'll never hurt her again, I promise"

Yeonjun was caught off guard, never really saw and imagine this situation coming. He was supposed to be laughing. He was supposed to be satisfy to this scene he wasn't expecting at all. But he's unexpectedly pity to his own brother who's now doing all he could in the name of love.

"P-please... h-hyung" Yeonjun took a step backward after hearing the formality and respect coming from a stronger demon's mouth. The formality as his older brother which Yeonjun didn't heard for about ages now. Really coming from his brother who's afraid to lose more than anything else.

Yeonjun clenched his fist in anger, as he looked away not wanting to get more pitiful over the sight of his brother begging in front of him. He hate to see his own spoiled brother now kneeling and pleading all of his might just to get the girl he wants.  "W-why!? Why do you have to be the hindrance to my life Soobin!? You were my brother!"

Yeonjun couldn't control himself any further, tears betrayed him and started streaming down his face out of his will. But what made his body froze is when Soobin answered without any blot of hesitation visible on his face,  "Because I love her..."

Anyone could do anything for love. Time, effort, talent. All in the name of love everyone can be completely stupid, even the most intelligent person in the world. Even demons have the will to love.

"Does love means killing and being greedy to you?" Yeonjun asked annoyed. Annoyed to himself that he's feeling this ungrateful feeling towards his brother who's eventually became the cause of all his sufferings.

"yes. Even if it means changing the faith. I love her" Soobin significantly said, determined on making y/n stay, not wanting anyone, even Yeonjun to steal her away from him. Not until he's living in this circular cruel world.
