"Oh, so i see you've met my disgrace of a brother..." Nash retorts with anger, and a hint of disappointment.

Nash walked into the room while me and Hayes were hugging.

"Nash, don't jump to conclusions, please." I beg.

"Don't even start assuming stuff. I just finished telling her the whole story." Hayes says.

Nash seemed like he knew exactly what his brother meant by that. There was a slight pause before anything further happened.

"Come on we're leaving." Nash grunts, and drags Hayes out of the room. Leaving me alone.

I stay another day at the hospital waiting to get checked out.

"Hey, Maddi?" I hear out of nowhere. "Yeah... You can come in you know..." The woman comes into the room and I see that its a nurse. "Your parents were sent home, and that Amanda (Her first mom) told me to deliver the message to you that your other mom was on a business trip." She tells me.

Then suddenly, almost immediately after the nurse leaves, I hear another knock at the door. "Come in" I say, a bit hesitantly. Who else could that be at 5 o'clock in the morning? The door is opened and in comes Hayes. He came to see me at the hospital 3 hours earlier than Nash usually does.

"Hey... What are you doing here so early?" I question.

"Just... Wanted to say that I'm sorry. About yesterday." He stuttered.

"Oh.." I say.

"So am I."

Shawns P.O.V.

( in a small town in Michigan)

I switched on the television and ironically it was on the news. I decided to keep it on because that's what I wanted to watch anyway. "A young girl named Maddie Jaiso and her friend Nash Grier from California were brutally beaten on Hampton street. She is currently resting at Johnson hospital where she has not yet been released, due to minor cases of Amnesia, but she is in very good condition and should be getting out very soon." I shut off the TV and let it all sink in. I recognized that name. It sounded so familiar. Maddie. Maddie Jaiso. A girl that I could have recognized from anywhere. I remember her from back in grade school, and she was the sweetest thing. I can't stand to hear something like this. how could this have happened to her? who would want to hurt such a sweet, beautiful, innocent girl? Then I realized it's not doing her any good sitting here thinking about how terrible this situation is. I'm going out to see her, and I'm bringing my girlfriend Rachel with me.

( Shawn was not at all aware that straights were looked down upon in California. In Michigan no one cared whether you were gay, straight, Bi. Back home, anything goes. )

Hayes pov.

"I love you so much. I will guard you with all of my life. I will protect you, and I promise nothing will ever happen to you no matter what. I'll be by your side forever and always. I swear on it, hyaol...."

My eyes shot open. I had a slight feeling something was off, and something definitely was. lately I've been getting these weird dreams about Hope... Or what i assumed to be Hope. Her name hasn't been mentioned in any of the dreams I've had, and if it was, the last part was slurred, and then I woke up. But her name always started with an H. weird right? I got up and looked in the mirror. My eyes were red. Bloodshot red. I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately. These dreams have been taking over me. This didn't used to happen to me before, why is it happening now? This is why I don't like telling people about myself. It brings back too many painful memories. And now they've made their way into my dreams. I think I've had enough.

I began writing a note to anyone and everyone in my life right now who I think would actually care. After I finally finish, I decide to start living out my plan right now. At 3 o'clock in the morning.

***

The house is silent. Everyone is still sleeping. I quietly pack up about 4 bags full of clothes, money, anything I might need while I'm away from... Here. I softly open the door I call a cab and wait 13 minutes before he comes. When the yellow car finally pulls up, I gather my things and hop in.

"To the nearest airport please."

When I arrive at the airport, I rush in and move over to the front desk. I bought my plane ticket in advance without my parents knowing. "Here you go, first flight to Tennessee." They weigh my bags and check my passport, and they let me onto to my flight.

within a matter of minutes after everyone has boarded the plane, it begins to take off, and we're elevated hundreds of feet into the air. Considering that its probably like, an eight-hour flight from California to Tennessee, It would probably be a good idea to take a nap.

***

A sudden voice blares from over the intercom and wakes me up "We have landed in Nashville, Tennessee. If this is your final stop, have a great visit ! "

That message was pleasing because I'm already here and I didn't have to sit through the entire plane ride.. Or at least it didn't feel like it. I get off the plane and immediately call a taxi to take me to a hotel. Once I arrive, I check in and rush to my room. After I get there, I realize that it's still pretty much morning. So I searched places in Nashville to eat. I found a restaurant that provides entertainment while you enjoy your meal, so i decided to go there. What do you know? Maybe I could find a hot girl or something. Haha, Just kidding. I'm only staying here for a little while. No point in getting into a relationship.

***

From the second I stepped foot into that building, I was mesmerized. I was bombarded with waves of old music that was still new enough that I could recognize it. The setting is vintage, and the morning light shines perfectly into the layout. I seat myself at a booth and a waiter comes up to take my order. "I'll have a bacon and egg bagel please." I tell him. While I wait for my food, a group of dancers takes the stage and Back to Black by Amy Winehouse. begins to play as they start to dance along. They're all wearing the same red outfits and dancing to the same choreography, but they're all very different. Some seem more spunky by the way they move their hips and have sharp, daring looks in their eyes, luring you into a spell of some kind. Others seem more relaxed and charming. As I carefully scan each girl to tell them apart by uniqueness and spunk, I come across the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life. Her hair is brown and up in a high ponytail. She has brown eyes, but not the dull, normal kind. Her brown eyes are pretty, and sparkle in the stage light. She's perfect. She's for me.
