"Mei, could you help me with this piece? I've tried fixing this wire a dozen times but every time this piece is used, the wire pops back out." I said, sighing out frustratedly. I've been stuck on this one-piece for almost two days now. The other support items and costume pieces have all been going well so far, it's just this one piece that's been giving me trouble.
"You're having trouble with something Izuku? That's new!" A voice laughed out from behind me, causing a few others to join in on the laughter. I just rolled my eyes and continued to tinker with the mess of wires in my hands.
"Let me see it!" An excited voice said, pink hair appearing next to me a few seconds later. I huffed, shoving the device into her hands before dragging my hands down my face.
"What the heck?" Mei whispered, turning the piece of equipment over in her hands, her face scrunched up in confusion.
"I have no idea why the wire won't stay! Nothing looks out of place and everything is functioning like normal!" I said, throwing my hands up in frustration.
"I see what you mean. Everything is wired correctly and nothing is out of place, but this one wire won't stay in place. Hold on, I'm going to take it back to my station and tinker with it. You still have a mountain of items to make. Start on those while I work on this baby!" Mei shouted, already skipping away with the flash-bang-like object, something for when Tokyoyami loses control of dark-shadow. It's supposed to be reusable, but I can't keep the wire from popping out, preventing it from being used again.
Sighing, I turned back to the blueprints in front of me, looking them over to see which one I should do next. It's been a week now since all of class 1-A has seen me and talked about costume improvements. A few stopped by a few days ago to change their costumes a little further after reading the notes I had written for them.
As of right now, I have a total of six costumes completely. I would have more if it wasn't for that damn wire. Nonetheless, I've gotten a few done, the ones that didn't require a lot of change and were simple enough to make fast. Ida didn't really change much on his costume, mainly adjusting it to accommodate his new mufflers and to increase his aero-dynamics along with decreasing the wind drag.
Uraraka added weights around her wrist, waist, and neck, all pressing against her pressure points in order to keep her grounded longer and prevent her from feeling the physical backlash from her quirk as quickly. I also upgraded her helmet a little, modifying it to it helps with her motion sickness.
Ojiro is pretty plain and doesn't want to rely on technology or support items so I just upgraded his original costume to make it fireproof and added thermo-heating and cooling. I also used a carbon-based alloy fiber for the material, making it harder to destroy and prevent fewer injuries. And if he happens to find a small cylinder that expands into a bo staff in one of the pockets, then good for him.
Koda also didn't want to rely on support items. We decided to just upgrade his speaker and add more pockets for treats and supplies. I also went ahead and added reinforced shoulder pads and wrist guards, to protect his costume and himself for when animals, such as birds, land on him.
Shoji couldn't really add much, seeing as his quirk is unique and very versatile. I just upgraded the material of the suit, using the same carbon alloy fibers as Ojiro's suit. Though, I did sneak in a little hidden gem, a little something to helo with long-ranged combat.
Mineta was an interesting one to do, to say the least. It's clear to see why the girls don't like him and why he's shunned by most of his class. He spent more time giving ideas for the girl's costumes in his class rather than his own. And quite frankly, he pissed me off. So the most I did was upgrade his suit minorly and gave him a new pair of shoes to go with it. These would help him jump higher, seeing as he's already so small, and allow him to jump from high places to the ground perfectly fine. The shoes absorb shock pretty well and don't slow him down at all.
