Stupid alarm clock, not going off when I need it to. How predictable, quitting on me when I need it most. Now I have to rush to get ready, even skipping breakfast! What makes this whole ordeal even worse is my body's natural alarm clock seemed to have turned off itself. I'm usually a very early riser, have to be after spending years in that place.

I slept in, something I wasn't accustomed to, nor wanted to be. The lastest I had even woken up was maybe five-thirty, which had earned me the beating of a lifetime by the lead enforcers at the facility. Since then, I've always made sure my alarm clock was set for five o'clock sharp, another reason my body always gets up at that exact time.

So you can imagine my surprise when I woke up to a brightly lit room instead of the regular palely lit room I'm used to. A glance at my alarm clock let me know that I indeed had slept in. I had stared at the bright red numbers for what seemed like hours, my brain trying to comprehend the numbers.

When it finally registered that I had indeed slept in, thus missing my morning run, I quickly jumped out of bed to get ready. This brings us to where we are now, shoving my legs through the pants of my uniform and almost falling over. After successfully getting them on and not falling, I grabbed my school bag, putting the strap in my mouth while I struggled to put on my shirt and blazer. And let me tell you, it's not the easiest thing in the world, trying to put on a shirt while holding a bag with your teeth and running down the stairs.

Quickly buttoning the shirt, I slipped the blazer over before relieving my teeth from th weight of my bag. Laughter caused me to look up and see Shoto standing at the door waiting for me, well laughing at my misfortunes more like it. I scowled at him, only furthering his laughter to the point he was hunched over, holding his stomach.

"Not funny! I slept in! ME! Sleeping in? Can you believe that? I open my eyes only to see it was seven o'clock! A whole two hours after my normal time!" I ranted, throwing my arms every which way, only to be left huffing after my mini-rant. I guess my rant did little to make Shoto stop laughing, only further encouraging it." By now, he had dropped to the floor, tears streaming out the sides of his clenched eyes as he held onto his stomach.

Scowling more than I already was, man, those frown lines are going to become so much more noticeable. I walked over and gently kicked him in the shin, effectively stopping his laughter. His hands moved from clenching his stomach to grasping his leg. He sat up, still clutching his shin, and scowled right back at me.

"Keep scowling, and your going to get ugly frown lines. Then all your fangirls will find you unattractive, leaving you to become yet another celebrity forgotten by society." I said my face blank and voice void of any emotion. Shoto narrowed his eyes at me before matching my facial expressions and tone of voice.

"Bitch you wish. If anything, it'll make them want me more. You're just upset because I look better with a scowl than you." Shoto said eyes narrowed. We stayed that way for a few seconds before we both burst out laughing.

"Your fangirls would probably have a field day, wouldn't they? Thank god Enji has done everything in his power to keep the public from knowing about me." Shoto rolled his eyes at my comment while holding a hand out towards me. Grabbing it, I helped him up, leaned down to pick up his bag, as he dusted all the imaginary dust off his uniform.

"Ya, lucky you." He said, glaring slightly at me. I just smirked before glancing at the clock on the wall.

"Shit, we're going to be late! Come on. If we run, we can still make it!" I yelled, grabbing his arm and dragging him out the front door, locking it behind us before taking off down the street.

"What made you sleep in anyways? You even missed your morning run and breakfast." Shoto asked as we sprinted down the sidewalk.

"I don't know. Maybe last night's events tired me out more than I thought. If anything, I probably used more energy than normal when healing myself." I sighed out, a slight frown taking over my features. Shoto just hummed in response, too busy trying to keep air circulating through his lungs to talk correctly.
