"You're going where exactly?" I asked Katsuki, turning to face him as I set my sandwich down.
We were currently at a cafe down the road from UA. School had just let out a few minutes ago and Kacchan and I decided to get a bite to eat before meeting up with Shinso. He was dealing with a lot of legal stuff at the moment and any free chance he got so I haven't really seen him around. Unlike Kacchan who's in the same class and can see him there, I haven't gotten to see him in a little while.
A few days ago, Eraser Head and Present Mic turned in all the evidence against Shinso's dad to the police before proceeding to raid his house. When they had got there, they found Shinso drugged up and surrounded by a bunch of drunk old men. To say the two heroes were angry would have been an understatement. They quickly dealt with the drunk old men before rushing Shinso to the hospital.
He had to stay there for a day or two before he was released into hero custody. He was to stay with Present Mic and Aizawa, who by the way is married, until they finished the court case against his father. And I knew he would stay there even after the court cases, knowing the two were already filling out adopting paperwork.
How do I know all this? Simple, I was there the night they rescued Shinso. I was trained in a highly secure place after all. If I couldn't sneak around without being noticed it would have meant all those beatings were for nothing. And the adoption thing, well it's obvious from the way the two already treat Shinso like he's their son already.
"To the USJ? I don't know exactly, I just overheard the teachers talking about it in the teacher's lounge. I think they said we were going tomorrow, to get in some real-life rescue training. I'm not entirely sure, but either way, it's going to be super boring." Kacchan said, taking a sip from his green tea as he finished his piece of cake.
"USJ? That sounds familiar. I think it stood for something like Unforeseen Stumilation Joint or something. I believe its a giant dome filled with different rescue zones and different situations." I explained, faintly recalling Endeavor talking about it once. He was one of the heroes to test it out to ensure it was safe for students to use.
"Either way still sounds boring. They'll probably split us up into groups, and with my luck, I'll be paired with shitty people and have to carry them." Kacchan growled out, slouching in his chair and crossing his arms like a toddler.
"Now now, Kacchan. Don't be like that. We both know everyone in that class has a lot of potential, they just need proper guidance." I said, scolding the blond softly. He just rolled his eyes before getting up to throw away our trash. Getting up as well, I grabbed our school bags and meet him at the door. Handing him his bag, we both made our way out of the small cafe and towards Shinso's temporary home, soon to be permanent.
"When did he say the trial was again? I know it was sometime this week." Katsuki said, looking down at his phone as we walked. I hummed as I thought, grabbing Kacchans hoodie to stop him from walking into oncoming traffic.
"Don't walk with your face in your screen. The trial was today though, so he should be getting home any second with good news." I said as I started walking across the street now that we could while Bakugou put his phone into his pocket, rolling his eyes.
"I was watching where I was going. And how do you know it will be good news? That man is very manipulative, he probably bribed everyone on the jury." Kacchan said, sounding a little anger.
"Most of the jury was made up of pro heroes so I highly doubt he bribed enough to getaway. Anyhow, we had more than enough evidence to convict him, not to mention the additional evidence Mic and Eraser got when they found him. He's most likely already on his way to jail right now." I said, rounding the corner to see Shinso exiting a car with Mic and Eraser. "Speak of the devils." I whispered, speeding up with Katsuki right at my heels.
