Izuku's POV

I woke up at five o'clock sharp, something my body had grown accustomed to doing when I was at the Facility. I sat up stretching my body, my back and shoulders letting out satisfying popping sounds as my wings stretched to their full extent. Nothing felt better than a good stretch after waking up. Swinging my legs over the side of my surprisingly big bed, I stood up and started my morning routine, getting dressed in workout clothes before going for my morning run. Except this time, instead of it being around the training room or on a treadmill, I was able to go outside and run.

After getting dressed in a tight-fitting shirt and loose shorts, I quietly made my way out of my room, slowly opening and closing the door before tip-toeing down the hall. I had put the glamor over my wings so they wouldn't knock anything over, and well, it felt so much better running without the extra muscle weighing my back down. Without the wings, I was able to slip right past everyone's rooms and down the stairs right out the front door. Looking around, I breathed in the clean, fresh air, something I haven't done in a while.

I decided to make this an easy run, taking my time and setting an even pace so I could look around and study my new environment. I just really wanted to enjoy the outdoors for a little. While running I wasn't paying attention, lost in my thoughts and planning how to go about my life now that I'm free from the Facility, that I couldn't stop myself in time from running into a tall muscular body. Luckily, with my amazing sense of balance, I didn't fall but I can't say the same for the wall of muscle I ran into. Which by the way, is pretty funny seeing as my 5'3 self managed to push the hunk of muscle, who seemed to be about 5'8, down. Before I could say anything though, the hunk of muscle spoke up, though it would be better to say shouted than spoke.

"Watch it extra!" He growled out as he stood up, gently rubbing his butt with one hand while the other was sparking while emitting small popping noises. My guess being it had to do with his quirk, some explosive type judging by the faint smell coming from him. I wonder what causes the explosions, does it just happen or is there a factor involved that causes the reaction. Maybe something like sweat, that's the most likely reason. His sweat probably has some reactant in it that reacts with the air or friction to cause an explosion. Maybe something like gasoline, but wait, the smell doesn't match. Maybe nitroglycerin? Ya, that's what that smell is. His sweat is probably mixed with nitroglycerin, reacting with external factors and creating an explosion when the user wishes. I wonder if he can create explosions everywhere on his body, like his feet, or if it's only on his hands. I wonder if-

"HEY EXTRA! I SAID MOVE OUT OF MY FUCKING WAY ALREADY! ARE YOU DEAF OR SOMETHING?" The angry pomeranian shouted, breaking me out of my thoughts and mumbles. I have a tendency to get lost in my thoughts and mumble a lot.

"Oh um, sorry about that. Your quirk just interested me. if you don't mind me asking what is it? I can tell it's some form of an explosion quirk." I asked innocently, tilting my head to the side for an added effect. He seemed speechless for a second, his face turning slightly red before his face twisted into anger.

"It's none of your damn business nerd. But if you really want to know that bad then fine, my quirk is called Explosion. Now that you know can you move, I'd like to finish my morning run and shower before school!" He said, shouting louder at the end. Slightly sadden he didn't elaborate on his quirk, I stepped aside and let him pass.

"Wait, one more question. What's your name?" I shouted out, the sudden thought flashing across my mind as he walked away. He froze for a second before glancing over his shoulder to glare at me.

"What's it to you? You're asking a lot of questions, kinda suspicious if you ask me. Just know I can beat your ass if you try anything." He sneered. I let my eyes widen a little, feigning surprise and shock at his accusation.
