Headcannon (Dazai as a father)

(With a baby)

I can see him crying with the baby.

He Would most definitely trick you into changing the baby's diapers.

Dazai would bring the baby to work and making Kunikida help him look after the baby.

Making weird faces at the baby to cheer them up after crying.

Smack talking Chuuya to the baby.

Since he has insomnia he would often stay near the baby when it would cry at night.

Would bottle-feed the baby while rocking them/ he would try spoon-fed the baby while doing weird tricks with it like "airplane" and cute stuff like that.

He would buy ridiculous baby outfits for them, like food theme baby costumes. You can't change my mind that at one point he dressed the baby as a crab.

Currently, it was the afternoon of a perfect Sunday for Dazai's little family. The ring of the doorbell was what made Osama all excited. he opened the door and picked up a little packet. He opened the packet in pure joy and pulled out a little crab baby onesie. Going to the couch where he left his son/daughter with a few toys he picked them up before going into the baby room and changing them into the new outfit he had just bought them. He gasps in pure joy as his baby waddled around the house with their new outfit. he felt as if his heart was about to burst from all the cuteness. He picked them up and brought them into his shared bedroom and woke up his wife Y/n. After having his wife wake up to experiencing this joyful moment with him, he made his baby have a little photoshoot before setting a cute photo of them as his lock screen.

(With a kid)

Dazai is the third child.

He would just act childish with the kids but, still somewhat strict.

He would often spoil the kids like give the ice cream after dinner, get them sweets, and stuff like that on the side when his wife not watching them.

He would take them to the park or let them play around in the office with the other members of the agency.

He may seem like a silly father but, once you mess with his kids you should just buy a coffin.

He would tell his kids about Odasaku.

He would definitely teach his kids how to control their emotions at this age since he wants them strong, mental health is important, and should not be taken as a joke.

(With a teen)

He would take her out shopping sometimes.

Makes her study though he sometimes distracts her.

If he ever gets in a fight with his child, he would just buy gifts to make it up to them and apologize (if it's his fault).

If it isn't his fault, he will just sit them down and talk with them.

If he's free I can see him calling his daughter/son to see how they're doing.

If their daughter/son ever gets sad he would be right by their side comforting them, It's Dazai after all you can't hide anything from him without him seeing right through it.

If their daughter/son doesn't want to talk about it Dazai would probably wait until they're ready to talk.

Dazai would be okay with the idea of their daughter/son having a significant other but, that doesn't mean he won't rain hellfire on them if he finds out they hurt his precious daughter/son.

In general, Dazai is a very loving father, his been through so much he just wants the best for his kids and would try to be a good father and husband to make Odasaku proud.
