For the first time in forever I wake up with a smile when my alarm rings. I danced when I was brushing my teeth, I sang in the shower and even kissed my grandmother goodbye. I even applied makeup ! I walk out just as Jacob pulled up in his motorcycle.
"Good Morning, Sunshine" he says.
"Good Morning Black".
He smirks. I get on the motorcycle, "Um where do I hold on, I've never been on one ?"
He laughs "My chest".
My eyes open wide, "OH..um ok".
He starts turning and drives into the street, I take a deep breath and hold his chest, he stiffens lightly, and I laugh. We drive to school in silence, as we park people look. He gets off first, holding my hand as I get off. We walk to the entrance hand in hand, it isn't until Dawn looks at me eyes wide in shock that I let go.
"Hi, Dawn, we need to talk" I look at her smirking.
She laughs evilly. Jacob says bye and pecks my cheek quickly, I turn red, and I say "Bye Black".
Later in the day, I find a pink note taped to my locker, I open it and it says "Meet me at the Roof, Jake <3".
Smiling from ear to ear I didn't notice that someone was behind me, I turn and its Damon.
"What are you doing, Lacie Wacie" He smiles.
"Nothing, leave me alone".
"I just want to talk", he says with a baby voice.
I look at him annoyed, "About"?
"When are you going to give into me".
I look at him with a straight face, and then laugh "Never, you may have a pretty face but you're just a fu** boy".
He smiles, gets close and whispers in my ear "Thats what they all say", he leaves a light kiss on my lips, I smack him and he's gone. I become furious, "How did he... whatever".
Its finally lunch time and I ran out of class. Dawn stops me dead in my tracks"Where are you going in such a rush, I know its not for school lunch"
. I laugh, I have a date with Mr.Black.
"OOOOhhhh" she says smiling.
"By any chance do you know how i can get to the roof ?"
"Yeah past the cafe, down the hall, up the stairs.
"OK". I giggle and leave.
I walk pass the cafe, and walk to the end of the hallway. I find the stairs to the roof and slowly go up feeling nervous. I laugh at the sign saying "No trespassing" and I open the roof door. I've never gone up here. Theres a huge garden with a spiral staircase leading to a greenhouse. I look around in awe. "Coming Woods?".
I look up seeing Jacob, He's wearing a tight muscle shirt, with jeans and boots. I melt in the inside. I go up the stairs, he smiles and grabs my hand. Inside the greenhouse is a bunch of flowers growing everywhere, and in the middle is a picninc basket with food and a blanket. I gasp.
As we eat lunch, we talk about our classes, as the coversation becomes more deep it gets more serious. He talks about his parents who are divorced, his older brother in jail and all the hardships he went through. I tell him a little about myself, I told him about my parents death, and how I compleley switched. We had a connection, and I felt more comfortable around him. The bell rings and we start cleaning up. He walks down first, and as I am holding the basket I trip. He turns extremely quickly as we fall to the ground, I fall on top of him. We both stare at eachother, wide eyed. He then leans in and kisses me, I stop but kiss him back. We kiss for a while, As we are kissing I began to think of all the bad things that have happened, so I let go. I start freaking out, "Im sorry I can't do this, every person who I have ever cared about has hurt me, I cant do this... Im so confused".
Tears stream down my face. And I run out the door.
