Damon POV
Before my eyes Lacie was gone. There was nothing I could do. I rush to the window but there was no sight of them. I begin to breathe heavily, what am I going to do? I calm myself down and put on my big boy pants, and hero hat. I look around at the mess in Lacie's room.
"I am going to save her, I have to, I want her to see the good in me despite the past, she needs to know that, that was the reckless me, the selfish me, not the real me".
Suddenly the door slams open.
"LACIE WE NEED TO TALK"! Jake rushes into the room. He looks at me with confused anger.
"Where is Lacie"? He growls.
I sigh, as he comes towards me pushing me on the wall smashing my head unto one of Lacie's paintings.
Through my teeth, I say "He took her tough guy".
I push him off of me, and he looks at the floor repeatedly clenching and unclenching his fist.
"Who?"
"Stephen Hills".
His eyes go wide. "When... god I should have been there for her".
I laugh coldly. "You weren't there for her, even if she didn't tell you what she was, you were suppose to be there. She was in agony for all those days, you didn't care to visit. NOW THAT SHE'S GONE YOU DECIDE TO SHOW UP. You want to seem like the hero". I look at him with disgust.
He looks the other way, probably ashamed. "I'm here now" he says.
"Well I was here the WHOLE time wolf boy".
He sighs. "You don't..."
I cut him off. "But at the end of the day, I'll be the one to keep her alive".
