As my breath becomes shallow and my vision blurs, my body spasms and all goes dark.
Have I died. Is the pain gone, the thoughts, the memories... Everything? Am I finally free...
I hear a faint sound.
"Lacie...Lacie..." "Vampire?" "Jordan you must be joking, SHES NOT ONE OF THEM"! I feel my weight being lifted and I pass out again.I wake up in my room with a very dry throat. I turn in my bed and drink some water out of the mug. But my throat is still dry, it beings to faintly burn and dark purple veins under my eyelids. I touch them in horror, I scream, and my grandmother walks in.
I had been avoiding a conversation with her for weeks now. Ever since I found that box with my mothers journal, I have been in a state of denial. Hoping that it was a nightmare, hoping that it will go all way. But the reality is that Jacob is a wolf, leader of his pack, I am a vampire leader of my clan, and the world is not the same one I thought I knew.My grandmother came in placing a cold cloth on my feverish body. "There, there.." She says while rubbing my palm.
My body again spasms and my eye close. I'm not sleeping but I seem to not be able to move. My grandmother takes a deep breath, and rubs my palms again.
She then says "I have a long story to tell you..."
