Is the world against me?

Danger in The Dark

I didn't go to school today. I spent the day thinking, and biting my nails. Nervously I got up, my eyes darting from side to side. It began to get dark, the darker it got, the more the nerve to ask my grandmother grew. I took a deep breath and as I was going to leave my room and ask, I heard a pebble hit my window. I turn around surprised. I go over to the window slowly. Looking down I see Jake with his wide grin waving his hands. I open the window and walk out to my balcony.

"What are you doing here Jake"? I whisper.

 "I have come to free my fair maiden from her tower", He laughs.

 I rub my arms, its windy today. 'Well how will my prince rescue me"?

 He gets off his motorcycle and climbs up to my window. He climbed pretty fast and with great skill. I stare at him with wonder.

"Why didn't you go to school today"?

 I freak. "Oh I wasn't feeling well...you know... cramps". 

He looks at me and shrugs okay. He takes off his leather jacket and puts it on my shoulders. I smile and we descend down to the ground. I jump off of his back and we get on the motorcycle. 

"Where to Mr.Black"?

"The carnival", he cheers.

We arrive at the carnival, I text Dawn to see if shes here. We walk around laughing and eating carnival food.

 "OOH", I point lets play that. The sign Glow in The Dark Paint Ball is flashing above us.

 I grab his hand and I drag him in. In the arena we were separated, I was behind a rock getting ready to shoot, I look around and shot two people, a pink splatter appeared on there vest. I smile with victory. I move from the rock and go down a dark cave, I trip and I'm met face to face with someones gun. I look up, shocked.

"Sorry", I manage to say.

"Lacie"? I look at the person, I could tell it was a guy, but I didn't know who.

 "Who are you"?

"Its Damon".

I shriek...."DA-AMON", oh um hi, I try to move back, but I couldn't find the exit. 

"Are you okay whats wrong"? 

"Nothing" I say in between shallow breaths. 

"Why are you scared... Why are you breathing like that". 

He comes close.

"Again seriously?!" I hear. I turn and see Jake's silhouette and sigh in relief.

 He comes over quickly dropping the gun. "Get off of her", He growls. 

I never noticed how violent Jake was... I move back.

"I was trying to see if she was okay", Damon says.

 "Well she's alright". Damon slams his gun.

 "What the hell is wrong with you", He screams. 

"You are always bothering my girlfriend, I disappear for a few days and you think you can get to her". He clenches his fist. 

"You should have left for more, we are better for each other". Damon says. 

Jake throws his weight on Damon. "Stop!" I scream in horror. Jake repeatedly punches Damon, as Damon squeezes his neck. I try to get Jacob off, but it was no use. It was like another being took over him. They toss and turn, punching each other. Then Jacob grabs Damon heads and twist his neck. The cracking echoes in the cave.

My eyes go wide and tears stream down my face, I put my hand to my mouth covering the scream....
