"So, what exactly am I supposed to do here, squad leader Hange?" you ask Hange while they excitedly walk through the corridor with you behind, following them. You feel lethargic remembering what happened at night with Levi.

"Just Hange is fine. You could say that it is a very diverse job. Of course, you will need to perform ordinary medical tasks on some of our soldiers, but mainly I want you to consult me about science," you exit outside and keep following them whilst they casually explain. To be honest, it only confuses you even more. Hange makes many turns and leads you to what seems a remote place in Survey Corps headquarters. You feel puzzled by what she meant about science. "We are here. Are you ready? Don't get scared, okay?" They smile at you and aggressively open the doors in to some kind of cage. Your stomach twists in many ways. You know it won't end good.

"Are we allowed here?" you stop for a second rethinking your life choices because you hear people unmistakably screaming in there. Hange looks at you for a second and pushes you in by patting your back. "What the hell is that?" you freeze when you see a huge naked man-like creature. You quickly regain your balance. It must be a titan, but you never thought they look like that. They are way more massive than you initially imagined.

"Oh, it is a just a three-meter class titan. I call him Lev," Hange laughs and points at that creature. You chuckle at the name, but you are still too afraid to move. You can see how its eyes shifted to you two. You quickly look around this place. It is remote for a reason. There are multiple scouts making sure that thing is tied and doesn't move an inch. Its limbs are nailed down and some weird steam is constantly emerging from them.

The cage is built from cemented rocks, you have a good feeling what is the motive behind it. It looks like it reaches up to ten meters or even more. Its top is covered with thick meshed netting. Also, you can see lots of some kind of wide wooden planks joined with the rocky wall. When you notice few scouts standing on them, you suppose they are built for safety if the titan freed somehow. Additionally, you are not a scout yourself, but it looks like those planks are convenient start points and landings for ODM gear because they are placed in various heights and angles.

"Why is it called Lev and how did you even get it here, inside Wall Rose?" You whisper trying to prolong yourself from going in there. You don't want to get close to it, even standing for about fifteen meters from it, you already think it is hazardous enough for Hange to bring you this close. Why, out of many squad leaders, yours had to be Hange? You two are like polar opposites.

"Oh, it is so small and grumpy just like him, besides Levi and his squad helped me to get it in here from northern gate. Since it is so short, we managed to get in a special carriage. It was way harder to get a permission from Erwin," Hange chatters and gestures for you to move forward. You dig into the ground with your shoes. You don't want to move any closer. "Look, you need to get used to this. We didn't bring you here for nothing," Hange gets serious and their demeanor changes in a second. You feel terrified; you would rather deal with an energetic Hange than this one. You can't grasp how can they insult Levi so freely, or even in front of him. Just who is Hange?

"Okay. So, what a mere woman like me has to do with all of this?" you try to show Hange at least some kind of enthusiasm. They turn back to their usual selves, but, immediately, you are forced to get closer to that titan. Right now, you would rather face Levi than that thing. You can't understand how scouts can act so calm around it. Especially Hange.

"Oh, look," Hange walks to that titan. You follow them, but stop when the distance looks too short between you and a titan. Hange stares at its head for a few seconds and brutally stabs one eye.

The creature screeches in agony and Hange starts to apologize to it. You can't handle how bizarre this situation is. Then, the titan tries to bite Hange, but they swiftly dodge and laugh. You just shake your head looking at them. Other scouts seem worried just like you, and try to get Hange away from it. Hange ignores all of them.
