When Semi left the room, silence fell between the two boys.
Ushijima was worried about Tendou's behavior, but still decided not to ask too many questions to him.

Once dined, then the brown-haired boy went home.
The following day the two boys didn't see each other because of Ushijima's training, since the following day he would have the game.
Satori was probably the more enthusiastic of the two and so while the other boy was at training, he had started sending messages to Ushijima, telling him how much he couldn't wait to see him play.
So Ushijima in the evening he had to reply to all of Tendou's messages, which kept him on the phone for a while, and then he fell asleep.

Although he had been late the night before, the following day Ushijima woke up before the sound of alarm clock.
Being six in the morning, the brown-haired boy didn't find any messages from Tendou, so this time he decided to text him first.

"Good morning Satori."

It was the only thing he could write, then he went to the kitchen to have breakfast.
After the match, that morning Ushijima would go to the hospital, the two boys had already agreed.

Wakatoshi had never been nervous before a match, he had always believed in the potential of his team and in their abilities.
This time, however, to feel Tendou's emotion and his enthusiasm in seeing him play, he could feel something.

As soon as Satori woke up, he didn't get up and he stayed in the bed with his eyes half closed.
After a few seconds he smiled a little, thinking back to the fact that after watching the match, Ushijima would come to see him, and all on the initiative of the brown-haired boy.

Then Satori sat down and yawning he picked up his phone.
As soon as he found Ushijima's message he was amazed.

"Are you ok Wakatoshi?"

"Mh?" replied the other boy.

"You wrote me first, I'm shocked."

Ushijima laughed, imagining the message read in Satori's voice.

"Good morning anyway, and good luck, even if you don't need it." Tendou continued.

After thanking Satori, around ten o'clock Ushijima walked towards the large gymnasium where he would play the match.

As soon as it was eleven o'clock, which is the time for the game to begin, Tendou turned on the TV.

The boy sat cross-legged on his bed.
The faint ray of sunshine that entered the window warmed his face, in which a smile had already appeared recognizing Ushijima's team.

They were at the start of the game and the brown-haired boy had started well.
Satori was shocked by the power of Ushijima's serves and attacks, and how much stronger his team was than the other one.

In fact they won the first set, but contrary to what the red-haired boy would have thought, the second one didn't go well, they narrowly lost.

It was time for the last set and they had started with a point in service from Ushijima.
Tendou was surprised when he saw Ushijima smile slightly, usually he never showed emotion on the volleyball court.

Satori continued to watch the game, when he felt pain in his chest and he needed to cough.
Initially the boy didn't care to these first coughs, he was used to them.

As he tried to stay focused on the game, however, the boy's breathing became more labored.
Tendou tried to fix the position of his nasal cannula, but still failed to regulate his breathing.
The difficulty in breathing was joined by coughs that didn't seem to want to stop.
The boy's hand passed many times from his mouth to his chest, not knowing what to do.
After a few seconds the red-haired boy could no longer get enough air into his diseased lungs, and then, seeing that he couldn't calm down, he dragged himself to the small button near his bed, which was used to call the doctors, and pressed it over and over again, desperate for help.

When a couple of doctors entered the room, the boy was lying on the bed and his face was very red, unable to breathe.
Fortunately, thanks mainly to antibiotics, they managed to calm the boy's respiratory crisis, trying to understand why it had occurred suddenly.

When Ushijima finished his game, he was surprised not to find any messages from the other boy, considering that they had won.
Before going to Tendou he was supposed to have lunch, but to make sure everything was okay, he sent a message to the red-haired boy first.

"Hey Tendou, I have lunch now and then I come there, okay?"

Twenty minutes passed from sending that message, and the other boy didn't answer yet.
Ushijima continued to check the phone confused: until now Tendou had always answered him immediately, always having the phone at hand.

"Tendou?"
He wrote once half an hour had passed, without receiving a reply.
He tried to call him too, same thing.

Ushijima then became worried and decided immediately to go to the hospital, despite the fact that the red-haired boy hadn't said anything to him.

Once he arrived at the hospital, he immediately went to his friend's room, where he saw a doctor come out.

"What happens?" Ushijima said going close to him, making him turn towards him.

"Tendou has recently had a respiratory crisis, now he is resting. As it happened suddenly we had to do some tests, then we'll see the results."

Ushijima stared at the doctor, then he nodded despondently.
"Can I come in?" the brown-haired boy said pointing to the door of Tendou's room, which was open.

"Maybe it's better to let him rest, he's sleeping."

"I-I'm awake, let him in." instead said a faint voice inside the room.

Then the doctor nodded and told Ushijima to enter.
