Chapter 15: His Little Dove

"Mr. Loki let me out!! W-Why are you doing this?", yelled Y/n. She was given no response from Loki. She couldn't see a thing. Everywhere she turned she was met with darkness. Y/n began to scramble around in Loki's hand, hitting his palm and his long fingers. Seconds after she began to do this, Y/n was jostled around rather harshly. She let out a cry of fear as she flew into the squishy wall. Loki had shaken his hand from side to side to get Y/n to stop moving around so much.

After Loki had closed his hand with Y/n trapped inside, he immediately teleported straight to the library in the palace. No one ever willingly spent their day in a room filled with shelves that were stacked with books. Well, besides Loki. He knew this was the perfect hideout in all of Asgard.

As he walked through the library to find the area he always sat at, he began to feel tiny hands pressing up against his massive ones. The excessive hitting had started to sting the inside of Loki's palm. Almost involuntarily, Loki shook his hand to get her to stop, but he regretted doing it when he heard a faint cry. His heart ached at Y/n's attempt to escape—escape from him—but he couldn't let her return to Earth. He would never see her again if he allowed her to leave. This was his last resort, even if it meant scaring Y/n.

After the hand that encased Y/n stopped shaking,
she sat there shocked and betrayed. The same hand that had once cradled her gently while also tenderly rubbing her back to calm her down and cover her from all of Asgard was now being used as some form of cage. Y/n had put her full trust in Loki—a literal god that surpassed her height by miles—and this was the outcome she got for putting her life in his hands? She couldn't stop thinking about what Loki had said moments before she saw his fingers curl over her small body, 'You are mine.' It sent shivers down her back. Did he see her as a possession? After everything they've been through, this is how Loki felt about their friendship? Y/n was more than heart broken.

Loki's booming voice echoed from outside the fleshy imprisonment, causing Y/n to flinch. "That Tony Stark is never going to let us see each other again if he gets his hands on you. Why do you think he's here on Asgard in the first place? He's here to take you away for good. And once you're gone, he won't let you return to see me."

Y/n's eyes widened. "S-So you're just going to keep me here then a-as your prisoner?! I-I thought we were b-best friends..", said Y/n sadly as she wiped away the oncoming tears that blurred her vision.
Loki stopped dead in his tracks. "We are", he said sounding a little dejected. Did she think that they weren't anymore?

"Best friends d-don't kidnap one another, M-Mr. Loki!", she exclaimed. Loki's face went pale. 'Kidnap?', he thought to himself. He wasn't kidnapping her. Why would she think that? Loki looked down at his closed hand and could feeling Y/n moving around again after he didn't respond to her. He let out a long, irritated sigh. "Little one, will you stop wriggling around so much?", asked Loki.

"Just l-let me out!! You-..You can't keep me here against my will! I-I wanna g-go home!!", yelled Y/n, her voice was slowly breaking as she held her tears back. Loki's eyes slightly widened at Y/n's outburst. He had never heard such a small being yell so much before. Loki slowly uncurled his fingers and was finally able to look at the distraught, little mortal he was holding. Y/n didn't expect Loki to open up his hand. This startled her and she instantaneously began to backpedal away from his billboard sized face. She was soon stopped by the fingers that rested behind her.

Loki rolled his eyes. "Why must you act like you're afraid of me? You know I'm not going to hurt you, little one", said Loki. The scared expression on Y/n's face said otherwise. "How am I suppose to know that?! You literally said that 'I'm yours' and whats yours belongs here on Asgard! Then you proceeded to trap me in your fist!! Why wouldn't I be scared of you?!", exclaimed Y/n. Her mind couldn't wrap around how Loki didn't understand that he was wrong.
