Loki was staring at the ceiling. 'I should have never trusted myself to become friends with a tiny mortal. Or anyone for that matter', thought Loki to himself.
"M-Mr. Loki?", asked Y/n. Loki thought that he would hear fear in her voice, but the only thing he could hear was a hint of sadness. He slowly turned his head and looked back at her.
Y/n's face flushed a bright red out of nervousness. "I-I'm sorry for m-making you cry. I didn't m-mean to", said Y/n. Loki smiled at the thought that she worked herself up to come over to him, but that smile disappeared as quickly as it came. He turned his head again so that he wasn't looking at Y/n.
"Child, you did not need to force yourself to come over here. You are even stuttering when you talk to me now", said Loki. Before Y/n could intervene in the conversation, Loki sighed and said, "It was not my intention to scare you so badly. I only wanted you safe and for that man to face consequences for hurting my dearest friend. I will go fetch Thor and let him know that you will be staying with him for the rest of your stay." Loki sat up from his bed and seeing that he was going to go through with his plan to send her off with Thor, Y/n couldn't hold it in any longer.
"N-No!!", exclaimed Y/n. Loki flinched at the sudden outburst that came from the small human and turned towards her.

"I-..I don't want to go with Mr. Thor! I wanna stay here with you!", said Y/n. Loki stared for a moment before saying, "But I thought you were afraid of-.." "Don't..please don't say that. I'm not afraid of you! I-I was just scared of what that guy did to me! He picked me up by my ankle and caused it to sprain, he squeezed me half to death in a fist, I was on the verge of passing out, and then he was stabbed."
Y/n calmed down from her sudden rant and said, "I just..wasn't ready to see that, I guess. The fear of what happened with the other giant transferred towards you and I-I never meant for that to happen. I didn't mean to make you cry...", said Y/n, who took her glasses off and wiped away the tears the silently streamed down her cheeks.

Loki, in the blink of an eye, stood up and knelt down on the floor in front of Y/n. "Young one?", asked Loki. Y/n looked up at Loki, making immediate eye contact. "I promise you that from now on, I will not let anything happen to you ever again and I especially will not allow this incident to repeat itself. Will you accept my apology?", asked Loki with a soft smile. Y/n couldn't help but chuckle at the giant Asgardian in front of her. "Of course I accept your apology, Mr. Loki", said Y/n, quietly.
"Thank you, tiny mortal", said Loki, poking Y/n gently in the shoulder which caused her to laugh.
He laid his palm out in front of Y/n and said, "Climb aboard, my small friend. I'd like to show you something dear to my heart just outside the castle walls."

Y/n's eyes went wide and said, "B-But..what if someone sees me?" Loki gently grabbed Y/n's right hand between his thumb and pointer finger and said, "Y/n, I vow to not let anyone hurt you nor take you away from me while we are outside and away from my chambers. You have my word, dearest." "And if someone does try to grab me, don't beat them up too badly!", said Y/n with a smile. Loki laughed and said, "I'll try my best not to."

Y/n nodded and went to step forward, completely forgetting the fact that her ankle was sprained. As soon as she applied pressure onto her foot, Y/n  hissed in pain. "M-My ankle..I-I can't believe I forgot that-..", Y/n was interrupted by Loki. "No need to fret. I can fix that hurt ankle of yours with this..", said Loki. He said a spell to himself and suddenly, Loki was holding a small elastic bandage that would wrap around Y/n's ankle without a problem. "An enchanted bandage will do the trick. Your ankle will heal twice as fast with this on", said Loki. Y/n, at the moment, looked bewildered and didn't say a word. Loki's eyebrows furrowed in concern. "Did I break you, earthling?", asked Loki. "N-No, your magic is just so cool", said Y/n, causing Loki to laugh.

"Sit down for me, Y/n", said Loki. Y/n tried her best to bend down, but ended up falling backwards on the bed, getting a quiet laugh out of Loki. "Ugh, just give me the bandages, Mr. Asgardian Prince", said Y/n sarcastically. Loki smirked at the comeback, but kept himself from teasing back.
"Allow me", he said as he started to carefully wrap the bandage around his little friend's ankle. 'How is he being so gentle? His finger is bigger than I am!', thought Y/n to herself.
"What was it that you wanted to show me outside?", asked Y/n. Loki finished wrapping Y/n's ankle and sat up straight, seeing if he did a good job with the bandage. He smiled, and said, "It's a surprise, small one." Y/n had a disappointed look on her face and said, "Can't you just tell me, Mr. Loki?"
"It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you what it was, now would it? You humans really have no patience", said Loki, rolling his eyes. "Hey, some of us humans aren't that bad!", said Y/n. "Yes, I suppose that is true. After all, you are the first human I have ever befriended", said Loki. "R-Really?", questioned Y/n, who was completely stunned at the fact that she was the first human to ever become friends with the God of Mischief.
"You are. And so is Peter. I'm not a big fan when it comes to humans. Thor on the other hand thinks that the human race is adorable and puny. Therefore, he needs to protect you tiny mortals and the Earth. I, however, tried to take over New York and enslave your people", said Loki. His eyes grew big after letting that last bit slip out of him. "Y-You do know about that, do you not?", asked a Loki, nervous that he just scared Y/n again.
"I-I've heard people talking about it before, but I was really little when that happened. I remember nothing from that day", said Y/n, smiling. "Peter doesn't know anything about it either, does he?", asked Loki. "No, he's in the same boat as I am. He was just a little kid when it happened", said Y/n.

'What a relief. If she knew a fraction of what I had done that day, she wouldn't even be able to look at me', thought Loki to himself. Thankfully for Loki, the subject was quickly changed when Y/n spoke up and asked, "Can you show me that surprise you were talking about now?"
Loki smiled and stood up, towering over Y/n. He bowed forward and placed an arm behind his back with the other on his chest, as a polite prince of Asgard would whenever he was to escort a lady around, and said, "Anything for you, my little friend." He stared at his small companion for a moment before realizing that Y/n wasn't able to stand up on her own and needed help. "May I?", asked Loki, gesturing to Y/n that he wanted to pick her up.
Y/n laughed at how formal Loki was being and said, "You may." Almost in seconds, Y/n felt the familiar feeling of massive fingers picking her up and gasped slightly, flinching when Loki's index and pointer finger were around her waist. She was reminded of what had happened with the servant; being picked up so aggressively was absolutely terrifying.
Loki noticed and calmly said, "Don't be afraid. You are perfectly safe."
Loki ever so gently picked Y/n up and placed her in the palm of his hand, holding her close.
"If you do not wish to go outside, I understand. We can stay here if you want and go see what my brother and Peter are up to ", said Loki, who knew for a fact that Y/n wanted nothing to do with the outside world and would rather stay in his room where she was safe. "No, I really want to see the surprise, Mr. Loki! I won't be scared!", said Y/n. Loki, however, could sense the fear she was holding back, but he shrugged it off and took her word for it.
He smiled and said, "Alright, small one. We will only be outside for a little while. Not too long, I promise. I just need to make sure you have the chance of seeing my favorite spot in all of Asgard before you head back home to that small planet you call Earth." Y/n's eyes widened with excitement and said, "Well then let's go! I can't wait any longer!" She was practically bouncing up and down in his hand.

Loki laughed as he looked down at Y/n. He quickly made his way to his bedroom doors and opened them slowly, peaking out into the hallway to see if anyone was around. Once he was sure that he was alone with Y/n, he turned left and walked towards the end of the corridor. Loki could have sworn that he felt a small pressure fall onto his right foot not too long after exiting his bedroom, but he payed no attention to it.
A door was at the end of the hall and Loki's surprise was waiting on the other side of it. 'This time, I will make sure that none of the servants are around. I can't bear to see her terrified expression again', thought Loki to himself.

Loki looked down to see what had hit his boot earlier and smirked.
