Loki was sitting in the library, alone as usual, reading a book quietly to himself at one of the many long tables. Thor has been trying to get him to go back to Earth with him to meet the Avengers, but Loki wanted no part in that. Why would Thor want Loki to befriend the people he's tried to enslave? Loki just didn't get it. He escaped to the library to get away from his brother and was consumed in the book he was reading until he heard what sounded like a crash. Something metal hit the floor and it hit the floor hard.
Loki sat up straight and looked around, not seeing anything at first. "What in the nine realms was that?", he said to himself as he got up from his seat. Loki started walking down the isles of books to see if he could find the source of the noise. "What would dare interrupt my reading session?", he said as he continued walking. He turned down one more isle and there it was. He saw what had made that loud disturbance and it was a small toy ship. Of all the things to distract him from reading. It was a toy? Loki looked annoyed. "Now how did this make its way in here? Did a child sneak their way into my chambers?", said Loki as he stalked over to get a closer look. As he approached the ship, though, Loki could have sworn he heard a faint scream come from inside. He tilted his head in confusion and kept walking over to the small ship. There were two windows at the front of the ship, but he couldn't see what was inside. Maybe if he picked it up and inspected it, he could find out what made that noise. Loki bent down in front of the ship and put his hands on both sides of it. He wondered what he would find hiding in this piece of metal junk. Surely it couldn't be someone that could fit in here. Could it?
Loki picked the ship up gently so that he didn't shake up whatever was inside. By doing this, he heard another quiet scream. "Alright, I guess there is someone in here", Loki said under his breath. He raised the ship up so that it was eye level with him and looked through the two windows. A grin formed across his face. Right in front of his very eyes stood a small boy, who was about the same size as his thumb and a girl that was sitting in one of the seats. She looked to be unconscious, and she was much shorter than the boy that was cowering in fear beside her.
"What have we here?", said Loki, a bit of mischief shining through in his voice. The boy flinched, which Loki noticed but ignored. Suddenly, the girl slowly opened her eyes. Once she got sight of Loki, however, she froze. "Oh, you've awaken. Good. Now tell me, who are you and how did you get inside the palace?", Loki demanded rather than asked. The young boy didn't say a word and neither did the girl. Loki didn't expect them to stay silent. Maybe he had come off too scary? He thought for a moment before saying, "Hold onto something inside of your vessel. I'm going to start walking little ones." Loki lowered the ship down to his chest and held it protectively as he made his way back over to the table he was sitting at before when he was reading. His movements were very slow. Loki didn't want to jostle around his new little friends and he didn't want to scare the boy and girl more than he already had.
Loki set the ship down onto the table in front of him and sat down. He stared at the boy and girl, his eyes never leaving them. 'How am I going to get them to come out?', Loki thought.

"P-Peter, what are we g-going to do?", asked Y/n. She was trembling in her seat and so was Peter, who was now hiding behind his own chair. "I-I don't k-know. I've never d-dealt with a g-giant before." Y/n thought for a moment. "Do you think he's f-friendly?", she asked with a glimmer of hope in her voice. She didn't want to believe that this giant was going to hurt them or possibly do something worse. He didn't seem like he'd be the type to do such a thing. Y/n took a quick glance at the giant that was towering over them. He had a concerned look on his face, which confused her. 'He doesn't look mean", she thought to herself. "I-I don't think he wants to h-hurt us Peter. Wouldn't he have down that by now if he wanted to?"
"Maybe. Ugh! I don't know! We can't just waltz our way out there and expect him to be nice."
"Well we can't stay in here forever." Y/n had a point. The two of them couldn't stay cooped up in this ship for the rest of their stay here, no matter how long that would be. They were going to need help from this giant whether they wanted to believe it or not.
They both were in a trance when suddenly, the giant tapped on the window to get their attention. Peter and Y/n jumped, almost having a heart attack. "Sorry", the giant said. "Can you two come out from the ship? I'd like to have a proper introduction if you don't mind", said the giant, with a faint smile on his face. Y/n and Peter looked at each other. "W-We have to at some point", said Y/n. So with that being said, Y/n forced herself to get up from her seat and went over to open the lift of the ship, her legs shaking the whole time. She closed her eyes and pressed the button. It was painful to hear the doors opening because the giant could reach his hand right in and snatch one of them up at any moment. "C-Come on, P-Peter", said Y/n, who was about to walk out first until Peter stopped her. "Wait, Y/n let me walk out first. If the giant is going to try and take either of us, I want it to be me. I don't want to see you get hurt." Y/n smiled. "Heh, it's your funeral bud." Y/n tried to alleviate the fear that was inside her, but it didn't really work.

Peter and Y/n made their way out of the ship and were now standing on the table the giant was using to rest his forearms on. They were greeted by two huge, green eyes looking down at them. "Hello there. I thought you two would never come out", the giant said, who was trying to sound as nice as possible.
Y/n jumped behind Peter as they stood before the giant. She clung to his right arm, scared of what was going to happen. "Y/n," whispered Peter, "If the giant tries to pick us up, I want you to run one way and I'll run the other way. He'll get confused at first which will give us time to escape back to the ship." "O-Okay, Peter", said Y/n.

Loki, on the other hand, didn't feel the need to scare these creatures. Normally he would taunt or make beings that he found were lesser than him scared out of their minds by putting spells on them, but there was something about these little creatures that fascinated him. He wanted to know more about who they were and where they came from.
Loki also wanted a closer look at the small beings, so, Loki being Loki, he moved his hand and attempted to pick them up.

Peter's eyes grew double in size as the giant's massive hand started coming towards them and said, "Y/n run!" Peter pushed Y/n to his right so that she could get a head start, but this actually caused her to trip and fall flat out onto the table, which ended up catching the attention of the giant. Peter wasn't aware of this because he was already on the other side of the ship about to climb back inside.
Loki saw the clumsiness of the girl and laughed to himself. 'This one is amusing', he thought.
Y/n pushed herself off of the table in a final attempt to get back in the ship. She didn't see the giant's hand following close behind her and she didn't think about the consequences of looking back to see if Peter had made it to the other side of the ship. Once she turned her head back around to see how close she was to the door, the giant's other hand was already waiting for her, blocking her path.
Y/n didn't have time to react and ended up running right into the pale wall of flesh. The hand encased her into a somewhat gentle fist, trapping her inside.
Y/n was in complete darkness and could feel herself being lifted up to the giant's face.
'I'm going to die. I-I'm going to die. I-I'm g-going to d-die', thought Y/n as the tears came pouring out of her eyes. She never wanted to end up in this predicament, yet here she was. Light suddenly started making its way into her confined prison.

'Finally! I can get a good look at one of these tiny beings', Loki thought. He had no regrets of what he just did, but when he unfurled his fist into a platform for the little girl, his frozen heart sank. The girl was cowering in fear with a river of tears streaming down her cheeks and she was trying to push herself farther away from him into his curled fingers. He could even hear her whimpering with how scared she was. "Little one, I mean you no harm. I just wanted to get a closer look at who I was talking to." The tiny girl kept shaking. Loki knew she wouldn't believe him that easily. "Come now, do you honestly think I would hurt you?", asked Loki. The small girl hugged her knees close to her chest. 'Well, telling her that isn't going to work', thought Loki.
He tried thinking of ways he could earn the girl's trust. 'Come on, think! What can I do to make her less afraid of me?', he thought. An idea popped into his head. He gently used his thumb to wipe away the tears on her face. She looked shocked that he had just done this, so he offered her a smile. "I do not wish to see your needless tears." He paused before saying, "I am not going to hurt you, young one." She stared at him for a moment in shock before saying, "You p-promise?" Loki smiled. "You have my word, child."
