D A L L A S
I sat in my bed at Buck's, playing with my switch. There was a heavy beat of terrible country music blasting from downstairs. I'd locked my door after people tried coming in and hooking up. I'm sure Syl is mad at me, I pushed her away and told her I just wasn't feeling it tonight.
Soon enough my thoughts drifted to Liz. God, why does she make it so hard to focus? It's like my mind isn't clear when I'm around her, I can't think straight.
She's delicate, like a flower. But she carries herself so strongly, like she can hold the world.
She's definitely something else. I catch myself thinking of every little detail she has almost every day. Her smile, the way she blushes and giggles at compliments, her curly hair, the dimple on her left cheek. I notice every detail about her whenever she's around me. Weird, but it's the truth.
Suddenly, I heard loud knocking on my door.
"Just leave!" I yell over the music.
"It's Buck, you idiot. You have someone here for you. She's pretty famous, I might say."
I immediately jumped from the bed and unlocked the door. Just like I'd thought, Liz was standing there.
"Thanks, man." I gave a nod to Buck and let her in.
It wasn't until she sat on my bed and looked up at me that I noticed her face. She looked scared, like she was gonna cry. Her face was puffy, and her eyes were red, so she had been. Her mouth formed a pout and her eyebrows scrunched together.
I locked the door again making sure nobody would walk in on us, and fell to her side.
"Hey, what's wrong, doll?" I asked softly, wiping dry tears off her face.
"I-I don't know w-what to do-o..." She whimpered, clutching onto my arms.
"What're you talking about?" I questioned.
I let her take a deep breath before explaining.
"I was spending time with Soda and Darry, they were expecting Pony home. H-He came home late, and Darry got in a big fight with him. I tried defending Pony, a-and when Darry was going to push him, I got in fron-nt of him and Darry s-slapped me." She sniffled, "Then-n, I ran over here."
I sighed before kneeling in front of her and caressing her face, "Oh, Doll. You know he didn't mean to do that."
"I know, but he just really scared me." She smiled weakly, sadness still lingering in her eyes.
I don't know what happened, but I gently held her face and leaned in. Thankfully, she kissed back and I didn't feel like an idiot.
The way our lips just perfectly molded. I melted in her touch, it was almost a numbing feeling. She was definitely my new drug, I couldn't just move on from her. It's like her touch just makes me feel this unbelievable high that no blue pill or red pill could ever make me feel. This girl, she was something I needed.
I pulled away, tugging on her bottom lip. We were both gasping for air as we stared into each other's eyes.
"Dal, I-"
"No, it's fine, I'm sorry. That was a mistake." I said, disappointed at the rejection.
"What? No, that was the best kiss I've ever had, Winston." She smiled, showing her dimple.
"God, I love that dimple." I chuckled, poking at it.
She let out a giggle, then wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me in for another kiss.
"So, are we back?"
"Hell yeah."
Hey y'all. This was a filler chapter, I guess??? Anyway, how do you guys feel about Liz and Dallas together again? I like it.
