 P O N Y B O Y

We were all crammed in a booth at Jay's, laughing and having a good time. The diner was surprisingly packed, and the gang was actually behaving. There's no doubt that they're being proper because of Liz, they've been that way with her since day one. Well, not day one exactly, but you know what I mean. I've also learned just how famous my sister is. She's had a least seven crying fans asking for an autograph, which she happily gave them.

"I've lost track of all the crying fans that walked up to this table." Two remarked, raising an eyebrow.

Liz laughed, "You get used to it after a while."

"I bet, it just gets annoying." Dallas leaned his head back on the cushioned seat.

I think Dallas is alright for my sister. They kinda balance each other out, you know? Like, one of them is always gonna keep the other one level-headed, or one will make the other come out of their shell. I mean, yeah, they're a weird combination, but also a perfect combination. Like pickles with peanut butter.

There's no doubt we were the loudest in the diner, especially at seven o'clock at night. And, like Liz said, we all got discounts on our orders through her.

We all ended up getting bored and leaving to the drive-in. Soda and Steve were a few feet ahead of us all, Johnny stuck behind with me, Darry and Two stood in the middle of everyone, and Liz was on Dallas' back on the side. It was a pleasant walk, we were all doing our own thing, but somehow we were together like a family. That's how it's always been.

"Hey, Pone?" Johnny asked, more like a statement then a question, "Don't you find it a bit weird that whenever Dal and Liz are together, they're either stuck like glue or can't bare each other?"

"Their relationship is a little rocky," I responded, "but maybe that's just how things are. Dal is a better boyfriend to Liz than any Soc that she could find on the West. To me, at least."

"Yeah, I'd rather she marry Dal instead of a stuck-up rich kid with a Madras collection." Johnny smirked, looking over at the pair.

I don't really like Dallas all that much, but I respect him and that's all that matters. He's definitely better than any Soc out there. Those cold-blooded Socs...

I didn't even notice that we were already inside the drive-in until the movie began. The movie itself was pointless, but there were babes in bikinis and that's all I needed.

We all sat from left to right: Darry, Sodapop, Pony, Johnny, Steve, Two, Liz, and Me. I couldn't be any happier to sit so far away from the Curtis brothers, because I don't think they'd like me being so intimate with her in a public place. I'm sure she doesn't mind, though.

We started off watching the movie just fine. But then I noticed how engrossed she was. Her eyes shining like stars, watching the characters intently. Her mouth open slightly. Her head resting on her hands, she looked gorgeous.

I nonchalantly placed my hand on her thigh. I felt her jump a little at the touch of my hand, but she relaxed and placed her small hand on top of mine.

After a few minutes, I moved closer to her and used my free hand to lightly grip her jaw and divert her attention to me.

"Wha-" She started, only to get cut off by my lips attacking hers.

I took both of my hands and placed her on my lap, our lips still locked. My large hands kept a firm grip on the small of her back, trying to pull her even closer to me without the rest of the gang noticing our activities.

I broke away from her, "Come on."

Quietly, I lifted us both up, as not to attract attention to the two of us. I'm still surprised that they haven't noticed us yet. I pulled Liz away as she gave me a questionable look.

When we were out of the drive-in, I answered her confusion, "We're gonna finish this somewhere more private."

The movie finally finished, and we could all head home.

"Hey, Liz- Liz? Hey, where's Liz? And Dallas?" Steve asked.

Why in the hell are they missing...

"Ooh, do you think they're getting down and dirty somewhere?" Two-Bit joked, only to receive glares from Soda, Pony, and me.

"Better not be, or Dallas has something comin'."

"Ooh, getting protective there, superman?" Steve smirked.

I put Steve in a headlock and pushed him after a few seconds, "Not protective, just worried."

"They couldn't have gone too far, and besides, I think she's old enough to make her own decisions." Soda rested a warm hand on my shoulder, calming me down almost instantly.

I sighed, "Alright, let's just get home. It's pretty late."

Looking back on things, my brothers' house wasn't the best place to have some private time with Dallas. I also realize that doing things in their guest bedroom wasn't the smartest idea, either, because they're all in the living room, probably thinking we went to Buck's, when really we're rushing to put our clothes on.

"Alright," I whispered, "stay here and go to bed."

"What do you mean? I can't just stay here!" Dallas whispered in panic.

"I'm going to tell them that you fell asleep, you idiot! Just get into bed and I'll tell them that we fell asleep."

After Dallas climbed back into bed, I quietly opened the door and rubbed my eyes to make them red, as if I'd just woken up. They were all lounging on the couch, watching Star Trek.

"Hey, guys." I groggily said, getting their attention.

"Why'd you two leave? And where's Dallas?" Darry, obviously, was the first to speak on the situation.

"I got tired, and I didn't want to walk alone so late at night, so Dallas brought me here. He's sleeping in the guest room right now."

Darry quietly studied my face before he pursed his lips, "Alright, get back to bed then."

"Night." I yawned while everyone said their 'goodnight's.

In the guest room, Dallas still hadn't fallen asleep. Well, at least he's up with me.

"They didn't suspect a thing." I smirked, laying beside him.

Dallas chuckled, "That's my little liar."

With a kiss on my forehead, Dallas wrapped a tired arm around me and we both fell asleep.
