CHAPTER FORTY.
THE NEXT MORNING Evee awoke with what felt like the worst hang over of her life. She knew it had to do with the memory spell she had done on Jackson last night, there is always consequences. Last night she dreamt of it all, everything she had seen in the vision. She was trying to figure it out, any of it. But if a tough thing to grasp and apart of Evee seemed to tug away from the Kanima — as if some part of her knew it was too dangerous for her.
But she had to fight it, for her friends.
As usual, she had woken up with a load of messages but it seemed even worse than usual — more array. Every day she seemed to wake up to more and more messes because she didn't answer a call. Now that she thought about it, those visions had knocked her out cold as soon as she hit the bed, totally missing Allison, Scott, and Stiles' attempts to update her.
Jackson got out from Stiles and Scott's kidnap intervention. And now the two had a restraining order which seemed to be the most under reaction from what they did yesterday. And she was right, he was being controlled. Via a helpful translation from Lydia. Evee wanted to try to talk to Jackson, maybe he would talk to her about those visions. If he didn't hate her guts even more now.
As she stumbled to her vanity, she yawned her hands rubbing her eyes as she blinked to see all those visions again. She tried to shake the coldness that came with it, opening her eyes to see Peter leaning against her closed door,"Rough night?"
Evee sighed, putting her hair up in a ponytail,"Rough sleep. All I could think about were those visions. I couldn't understand all of it, maybe any of it."
"How did it feel to do that spell though? Finally use that blood magic of yours," Peter's voice was deeper, his hand touching onto something Evee couldn't really tell apart.
Evee blinked, her eyes narrowing at her jewelry stand as she picked out some earrings for the day. It felt like Peter kept bringing up this blood magic she had no idea how to even use properly,"Um...it was fine. I guess it felt nice to be useful. If what I did was even useful."
Peter's eyes stayed on the girl, watching her every movement,"More than useful. You could figure it all out, figure out how to save Jackson. Save everyone."
Evee looked to the mirror in front of her, tilting her head at her reflection. Was he right? Was she that close. She snapped her head to him,"Do you know something? About the Kanima?"
"I know," Peter sighed, stopping his leaned stance against the door,"that's you gotta dig deep," he walked behind the girl, his voice taunting her slowly as his whispers clouded her mind,"That your power figured something out. C'mon, Evee. You can save everyone," the object in his hand went to be placed on top of Evee's a palm, a purple flower in her hand as Peter locked eyes with her by her mirror,"Save me."
