At the end of Chapter 23:  They enjoyed their visit together and everyone felt a little better about forgiving Hüma. Nobody felt as good as Hüma who now knows her family has forgiven her and supports her. As she was leaving, Hüma asked Sanem if she could hug her. Of course, Sanem nodded and held her arms wide open. Everyone had tears since Sanem is the one who had the most to forgive because of all the harm that had been planned for her. Sanem asked Hüma if she would please come and spend some time with them before leaving for America. Hüma agreed. She not only wants to see all of them again, but she needs to see Emre and the Aydin's before she leaves to apologize to them as well. As Sanem said, "Life is too short to act up and hurt family."

After receiving a lot of instruction on newborn care from the nursing staff, Sanem and the babies were discharged from the hospital the next day. Sanem and Can were very excited but nervous and kind of scared too. Sanem had organized the nursery so that everything had a place. There were three cribs and three dressers/changing tables, and two comfortable, padded chairs that were a combination glider/rocker. Sanem had also found the cutest mobiles for each crib that could be rotated between the different cribs to give the babies different visual stimulation. Three open shelves and closets for hanging clothes had been built into one corner. The racks were already filled with hanging clothes, and toys and books sat on the shelves. Fortunately, the room in which the nursery was located was very large.

Can had made name plates for each baby, and Sanem just had to put them up above each closet space. She had organized the clothes by size, for the girls on one side and their son on the other. They had hoped for a boy but did not know until he was born, so they had not bought quite as much clothing for him yet. But the grandparents were having so much fun buying things that it would be a long time before Sanem and Can would need to buy any clothing for the children.

Sanem declared that she was going to dress the two girls alike while they were little, just maybe in different colors of the same outfit. She had chosen the cutest outfits for her babies to wear to go home. Can told her that as long as she warned him about what color each girl was wearing that day so he could tell them apart, he would be fine with it. Sanem laughed and told Can he was already telling them apart by their cries. They hugged each other tightly before they left the hospital.

Can remarked, "Let's go start our big adventure."

When they arrived home, it was a bit overwhelming. All the grandparents were there except for Hüma. Then Emre and Leyla arrived with Ahu. After an hour or so, everyone had finally left and Can and Sanem were alone with their human babies and their animal babies. At first, they could not find Baby. Then they went into the nursery and saw him peeking around the corner at the babies in their cribs and the kittens were behind him.

Can had Baby and the kittens, who were now full-grown, come out from where they had been hiding. Tired from both the trip home and the excitement of being home, Sanem sat down in one of the rocking chairs. She prepared to nurse Ates, who was awake and ready to eat. Before Can handed Ates to Sanem, he held the baby down for the animals to see and smell. Baby gently licked Ates's foot, but the kittens sniffed him then walked away.

Can noticed and said, "I think the kittens might be a little jealous. But it looks like Baby is ready to raise some more babies."

Sanem loved her glider/rocker in the nursery. Can had investigated chairs for nursing mothers and had taken her to see this one in particular. It was actually about the size of a loveseat with cushions for her back and under her arms. As the children get bigger, the cushions could be moved and Sanem would still be comfortable.
