At the end of Chapter 5:  Can grabbed Sanem in a bear hug, thinking, Oh, this feels good. Sanem smells wonderful. I should have done this sooner. He started apologizing to her again when he heard a noise at the door. They both turned to see CeyCey. He was hiding behind a large green plant in the corner of Can's office. Can did let go of Sanem as she turned toward CeyCey and tried not to laugh. CeyCey knocked the plant down in his hurry to leave Can's office, muttering, "Hugging, hugging, hugging.

As he drove over to the Aydin's for dinner, Can could not stop thinking about hugging Sanem and how good it had felt. He realized that he was starting to care for her a lot. Not only is she beautiful, kind and sweet, but she smells amazing. She has a wonderful imagination and has helped the Agency so much. She is very humble about how smart she is and also has a great sense of humor. Can finds it hilarious just to watch her and CeyCey interact with one another.

Emre is riding in the car with Can and hearing him chuckle to himself asks, "What are you laughing and thinking about? I hope you are ready for Nihat baba to interrogate you regarding your intentions towards Sanem. I heard what went on in your office with Polen and what you said to her about Sanem. I would not want to be in your shoes tonight, and our Baba will be there, too."

Can replied, "It's okay. Sanem will tell them what happened, and I don't think it will be too bad."

Emre shook his head and said, "I think you are being way too casual about this. Just be prepared. I think it will be worse than what you expect."

When they arrived at the Aydin's, Can was surprised that Aziz and Mirhiban were already there. Leyla had answered their knock at the door and greeted them. The Divit brothers changed their shoes into the slippers that were always ready for guests. She patted Can on the back and whispered, "I'm sorry." Then she ran up the stairs. Suddenly, Can was feeling nervous as he and Emre walked up the stairs and into the living room. All the Aydins and Aziz and Mihriban were alreaded seated. After the normal greetings were made, Sanem pulled Can over to sit beside her on the window seat.

Then Nihat stood up and spoke directly to Can saying, "Can, I am disappointed to hear that you used my daughter today, to get rid of your girlfriend. That was not very respectful to Sanem or to our family. How long have you been with this girlfriend? How long have you been trying to break-up with her?"

Can answered, "We have known each other for about six years. But we only see each other a couple of times a year. For months, I've been trying to get her to understand that I have broken up with her. But she won't listen to me and does not believe that we are over ."

Aziz spoke up saying, "Can, you obviously have not been firm enough in this breaking up business. I want you to apologize to Sanem and her family. From what I hear, Mevikebe was became really excited thinking that you and Sanem are going to marry."

Can reached for Sanem's hand then turned to the Aydin's. "I am so sorry for any misunderstanding today. I was just not thinking when I told Polen that Sanem and I were dating. I really am so sorry."

Nihat looked at him with a frown and then asked, "Why are you holding my daughter's hand while you are apologizing?"

Can looked down and saw that he was holding Sanem's hand. He repeated, "I am so sorry" as he dropped it.

Sanem said, "Baba, it's okay if Can holds my hand. He is my friend. Friends today hold hands and even hug. It really is okay. Polen was being very rude to me and Can said what he did to protect me."
