I woke up with a burning rage inside of me. I wanted to destroy the all too familiar cell that I was being held in, wanted to burn down the throne room, and I wanted to kill my captor. The only thing that kept me from sliding into madness was imagining my captors' blood. Imagining stabbing him with my dagger and feeling his blood trickle down my hands, a blood as red as roses. But what I planned for Nyx was much worse. I wanted him to feel the betrayal that I felt, then I wanted him dead.

"Keep it down." One of the guards commanded, before I even realized I was screaming.

I didn't stop though, I continued screaming as the rage built up inside of me, demanding to be felt- demanding to be let out.

The guard slammed the door open and grabbed ahold of me by my hair.

"Fine you little brat." He hissed. "The Master will see you now."

This silenced my screams, I scrambled too my feet and walked after him. This time as I walked into the throne room, I didn't feel sadness, I didn't feel fear, or emptiness. But I felt red rage that could burn down kingdoms if let out.

The throne room now held two thrones, one belonging to my captor who sat in his blurred image- not the hideous skeleton monster I saw last night. The second throne seemed to made of strands of darkness and in it sat Nyx. He appeared different here, although he was still undeniably striking. His face that I used to think was sculpted by the mother looked much more sinister. His purple eyes that once lit up my world with one glance, held no ounce of light and if eyes were the window to the soul then his eyes revealed a bottomless black pit. Everything about him now seemed off and I wondered if I truly ever saw him at all.

I smiled at them, as my thirst for blood grew.

"Abella." My captor greeted standing from his throne. "I must admit that I was very surprised when I noticed that you were missing. Thankfully Nyx here was able to find you and return you back to me."

"Thankfully." I darkly chuckled. The anger inside of me only building with every passing second.

"Though I would have preferred for him to return you pure and untouched." He clicked his tongue at Nyx before turning his attention back to me. "What a silly child you are, did you truly think you would be able to escape my grips. Did you truly think that this man cared for you? Did you forget that I wanted to see you wither and decay?"

A primal rage took over me and silenced every emotion I had- other than burning hot wrath. Something snapped from within me and fury swelled and expanded until I could no longer contain it. I no longer tried to stop the burning hot tears that flew do my face. The rage overflowed from me until it lashed out and pounded on the ground.

Below me the ground shook and someone yelled out words. But I was beyond the point of hearing. I only wanted destruction. Nyx's voice responded to the shouting and though I couldn't make out what he was saying the mere sound of him enraged me.
