My mind began swirling and the floor underneath me started to disappear. The information was overwhelming. I believed him; I knew from the moment the captor took me that I had to have been different. But I didn't know what being a God entailed. My powers were already growing out of hand and I knew that I needed training. And if Nyx was part of deciding what was going to happen in the world, then we are going to shit.

"Ho-how what." I stumbled through my words finally landing on "I don't understand."

"That sounds like a personal problem." The bone carver said and flicked his wrist. "But if that's everythin-"

"No." I cut him off taking a few daring steps towards the old god who was wearing my appearance. "I need your help." On the inside I was trembling saying these words, I didn't know what asking for his help meant, but he was the only one I could ask.

"My help?" He questioned, the face that he was wearing blurred a bit before coming back into focus. He then nodded his head. "I have given you your answers now leave."

"No." I refused again, taking another bold step towards him. "You're the only one that has given me any sort of answers. And you're the only god that I know of existing in this realm. You said that Nyx was Malice's protégé, then make me yours. If you want to join me when I rise to power than you will help me rise to power." The authority in my voice surprised myself.

The bone carver slowly smiled, the grin growing wider and wider until I thought his cheeks would tear at the sides. "My Goddess." He said bowing at the waste, slightly mocking me. "I am in no way fitting to be a life goddess's teacher, but if it is help that you want then it is help that you will receive. I make no promises that you will enjoy my instructions." He took a moment looking me over, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "I will see you in the spring court."

He disappeared leaving me, Rhysand and Feyre alone in his cell. I slowly turned to face them, wordlessly they both wrapped an arm around me and guided us out of the prison.

Rhysand and Feyre had told me that I didn't need to stay for dinner if I didn't want to. After talking with the bone, I wanted too. The bone carvers' words gave me a suspicion that my mom hadn't been truthful to me about how I came into this world, and I didn't want to face that right now. I needed a night, to forget everything that had been haunting me, and will be haunting me. What better place than the night court to spend it.

Feyre clung to me throughout the day, to a point where I was a bit concerned for her. She insisted on taking me to her personal wardrobe to get dressed for dinner and gifted me with dresses and jewelry from their family's heirloom. I refused her gifts at first. How could I accept them when yesterday I had stabbed her son 3 times, all in an attempt to kill him. But when I gazed into her eyes, I saw that a part of her needed this. So, I took them with a smile on my face.
