"Another!" Abella shouted over the loud music signaling for a waitress to bring her and her friends another round of drinks.

"Don't you think you've had enough?" Nina asked and Abella didn't miss the concerned look that her and echo shared before both of their attention was back on her.

"Ya." Abella huffed rolling her eyes. "Enough of you telling me what to do." Her words slurring a bit.

She didn't have much of a choice. It was either get shit faced and try her hardest to forget about the incident in the alley way or spend the rest of her night on edge and constantly looking over her shoulder. And the latter did not seem all that appealing.

Abella snatched the mug of beer just as the waiter set it on the table and took a big gulp as she checked her surroundings. Tables were filled with the night court citizens all of them throwing their heads back in laughter. There was a dance floor in middle of the packed bar where couples' bodies intertwined, and they swayed to the music.

Standing up Abella smiled at her friends and pointed at the dance floor.

"Let's dance." She announced and as she took a step in the direction of the dance floor, she felt large hands circle around her waist and hold her steady. Sharply inhaling she whipped around and stuck out a finger at Nyx.

"Donnn't touuucch me." She said her words slurring.

"What was that?" He asked a smile playing at the corner of his lips. "I can't make out what you said."

"You know what I said." Abella snapped and tried to wiggle herself out of his grasp but doing so only made her lose her balance, and she was sent tumbling to the floor.

But before she could make contact with the ground Nyx's arms wrapped around her legs and her back, and he lifted her from the ground and held Abella to his chest.

Abella nose flared and her hands balled up as she glared up at Nyx. "Let me go." She growled out.

"As you please." Nyx responded as he gently put her back in her chair and tipped his head at the other two. "Ladies." He greeted them and took a seat in an open chair next to them. Emerson emerged from a crowd of people with a with a wide smile on his face, and his eyes dancing with happiness as he made his way to them.

"Why didn't we get invited?" He asked raising an eyebrow as he sat down next to Nyx and his sister Nina. "You couldn't imagine the betrayal I felt when I learned that you guys snuck away from the meetings and we didn't get an invite." He glanced over at Nyx who wasn't paying attention to what he was saying. Nyx's silver eyes were solely trained on Abella. Tracking every shift in her weight, watching as her green eyes moved over to his own to glare daggers at him. He smirked and sent her a wink before turning his attention back to Emerson.
