15 Years Ago (Chapter 6)

In the depths of Elroe, prior to the absolute consumption of the middle sanctum by the expanding darkness of the Withered Lands, stands a land of hot lava and fire. Inside of the blazing inferno, a smaller but familiar blue dragon lays across the floor unmoving after being forced unconscious talking to the "System" Sariel. Taking place before their first battle with the Queen, before the events that would set in motion all that would come, before he was even given the name "Ryuka" by the person who helped him in the hardest times and shaped him, was an long overdo meeting between the two overseers of this world.

Away from the unmoving body of the blue dragon, a white taratect was also on the floor, unconscious and undergoing an evolution. Spikes starting to grow on her abdomen, the dead body of an massive eel was right next to her that would provide nutrition upon waking. Trusting and expecting him to protect her in this vulnerable state, her protector was in the same defenseless state as her. The blue dragon still not that far down his evolution line, his wings and body at this point in time hadn't reached his full potential.

The two monsters silently sitting there showing no signs of consciousness, the young dragon's body twitches. Groggy opening up his eyes, a one of a kind headache rocks him after taking in the various bodily senses. Touch, smell, sight, hearing, all basic things the one now in control has been deprived of for so long.

Acclimating and getting used to being inside a physical body again, a faraway observing presence senses something familiar. Pushing himself off the floor, the blue dragon cracks his neck with his ears still ringing. Getting his bearings and focus steadied, he now turned his attention to the invisible eyes above. Knowing who's watching him at that very moment, the dragon speaks in an old language lost to time only they knew.

?Y/N?: Damn it, this is one of those things I'll never get used to...!

Alerting the presence upon saying the very first word, she started to see the irregularities. The smallest mannerisms, the way he carried himself and now his deeper tone. Knowing him for so long and everything about him, it took her mere seconds to figure out who it was.

{Wait, Krimpatul...is that you?!}

Finally speaking to him directly and hearing her voice again, a part of him underneath all the conflicted and frustrated emotions toward her, was a little happy. Looking directly above at nothing in particular, the dragon greets the disembodied voice.

Krimpatul: Been a long time, sister...

The ancient dragon of Calamity confirming his identity, the Angel Sariel freezes up trying to rationally process and calculate how this-, how HE got through the restrictions.
