Lost Love

Chapter 10

As the morning came, I got a message from Caleb saying that I should come to his office around 1pm. I got up from the bed, showered and wore a black Jean's and Gray coloured shirt. I not in a mood of doing makeup so I just grabbed my sling bag, wore my sneakers and went down. As soon as I came down I saw  everyone is already present in the dining room.

"Good morning everyone". I greeted and sat on my chair while putting some cereal in a bowl.

"Good morning". They greeted back.

"Em. Are you going somewhere "? Sophie asked looking at me.

"Yes. I am going to the park".  I replied to her looking into my bowl.

I think they understood which park that's why no one asked another question. I finished my breakfast and got up from the chair.

"I'll be back soon. And soph we will go to Ryan's party together". I said and left the dining room.

Now I am driving the car going to the park where I first met big bear. As I reached there I parked the car and went into park. This place contains most precious memories of my life. Children were playing. I sat on the bench and observed them. They look so carefree. No tension. No worries. It's just about them and their little world. I came here because I want to recall all those memories. And these children reminded me of my childhood.

This place has changed a lot. There are more trees and swings for the children. Oh my god. That tree is still present. I smiled remembering how we used to climb on it and sit around it while playing. While I was busy in staring the tree a little girl approached me and asked

"Hello. I am Lisa". She said shyly.

"Hi Lisa. I am Emily. What can I do for you"? I asked her sweetly.

"We are playing and we need one more member in our team can you play with us please". She asked with a cute puppy face which I can't resist.

"Ofcourse I will". I said and went with her.

I played with them for a while and now my shoes got dirty because of mud. I dont mind it because it was worth it. I am feeling so lite and good. Children will always make your day with their cuteness. I didn't realized that I spend 3 hours here and now it's 12:45pm. Oh god. I should leave now or I'll be late. I bid goodbye to children and left the park.

As soon as I reached Caleb's office, I called him informing I am waiting outside. Why should I go in when we have to go for seeing the land.

Soon he came out of the building looking as handsome as ever. Today he is wearing a gray suit which means we are twinning. He looked at me with those eyes which reminds me of my childhood best friend.

"You are 5 minutes late". He said as he approached me.

"Sorry. I got busy". I said with a frown. It's just 5 minutes.

"What happened to your shoes? It looks like you walked in mud or something". He said looking down at my shoes.

"Not walked. I played in mud". I told him with a smile.

"Seriously?" He asked with an amused smile on his face.

"Yes. I was in a park. A little girl named Lisa came to me asking me to play with them and I just couldn't resist her cuteness. I can't say no to children". I said while pouting.

He was just watching me with a genuine smile on his face. I can't believe it. It's the first time I saw his smile and I  can't describe how beautiful it is. He looks more handsome.

"Oh gosh! Mr. Caleb Williams is smiling. I think something is wrong". I said teasing him a little.

He just shook his head and went towards his car gesturing me to follow. It's a black Lamborghini. I stopped in my tracks.

"What happened"? He asked as he reached the car.

"My shoes will make your car dirty".I said pointing towards my shoes.

"It doesn't matter. Now come fast we are getting late". He said as he opened the door for me. I sat on the passenger side and wore my seatbelt then he starts driving. His car smells like his cologne. "Stop it Emily. Don't forget you are here for work". I reminded myself before thinking about  something else.

I kept staring out of window as he was  focused on the road. We both stayed silent but it was comfortable. Soon we reached a place and Caleb got out. I was about to open the door but he did and told me to follow him. What a gentleman.

"So Emily what do you think of this place. It's for hotel". He asked me.

"I think it's good for building a five star hotel considering the locality".  I told him seeing around.

"Ok then. I will talk to the broker. Now we will go and see the land for resort". He said and we left the place.

"It's quite far". He said as we sat in the car.

"Hmm". I just nod.

After 10 minutes I started feeling bored so I asked "Can I play songs "?

"Sure". He replied.

I connected my phone and played the song.

Its "perfect" by ed Sheeran.

I started singing along and soon Caleb joined to my surprise. He sings really good.

As the song finished he said.

"You have such a sweet voice".

I blushed. Thank god he can't see my face right now. As I turned towards window.

"Thanks but you are a better singer than me".  I told him which is true.

"Thanks. I sang after a long time. I used to sing a lot when I was a teenager but it stopped when I joined the college. I became more reserved and just concentrated on Learning business. When you started singing I couldn't stop myself to sing along with you". He said with a small smile on his face. Why he is smiling so much. Normally he is so cold and rude. His smile is doing something to my heart.

We reached the place almost after 8 songs. As I came out of the car I got freezed at my spot. This place is so beautiful surrounded by nature.

"This is so beautiful". I said looking around.

"You like it ? I thought this will be good for resort as mostly people go to resort for spending some quality time away from their daily life...

And being around nature will bring peace". I completed his sentence looking directly at his eyes.

"I just loved this place". I told him with a big smile.

"So it's done then. As soon as we got the land we will start the construction. We will discuss about it soon". He said.

"Can we sit here for a while?" I asked him in a low voice.

"Ofcourse". He said and we sat on the grass staring at the trees and clear sky above us.
