Chapter 20

Everyone got settled and ordered food. I am sitting beside Joseph enjoying my pizza while Caleb is sitting opposite to me with a pissed expression and Ofcourse the couples are sitting together.

"Joseph, you live here"? Michael asked.

"Yeah. After graduation, I came here to live with my grandparents and then I got settled here". He said sipping the coke.

"This pizza is so tasty". I said while taking a big bite of my pizza.

"Slow down baby, it's not going anywhere". Joseph said. I just rolled my eyes at his behaviour smiling a little.

"What am I seeing ? Emily enjoying Joseph's behaviour". Isabelle said in a surprised tone.

"Are we missing something"? Ryan asked wiggling his eyebrows.

"Nothing". Me and Joseph said at the same time and laughed.

"What's going on here"? Sophie asked motioning between me and Joseph.

"Me and Emily are friends now". Joseph said putting a hand on my shoulder.

"We were already friends". I said smiling at him.

"That's good to hear". Sophie said with a relieved expression. I know she was feeling guilty about inviting him without asking me. From the corner of my eyes I observed Caleb and he is glaring at Joseph. Why he is reacting like this I thought to myself. Soon we finished our lunch and went out.

"I want to go home". I said as soon as we exited food court.

"But Emily, I don't want to go so soon". Isabelle said with a pout.

"Same here". Sophie said resting her head on Michael's shoulder.

" Since you confessed to each other you didn't spend time together alone. So you guys can stay and enjoy. I will go". I said to four of them.

"Don't worry. I'll go with her. I have some work to do". Caleb said.

"Ok then". Michael said nodding at him.

"I'll also leave". Joseph said as he hugged Sophie and then me.

"Bye guys. Meet you at home". I said.

"Let's go". Caleb said and we both sat in the taxi.

Caleb didn't spoke a word to me in the taxi. I don't know why he is behaving like this. As we reached at our house he just paid the fare and went inside ignoring me. As I entered the house, I saw Aunty Maria is in the living room.

"I am going out Emily. Roberto called me and said it's urgent. I was just waiting for someone to come". She said.

"Where is mom and dad"? I asked.

"Your mom and dad went out along with their friends". She said and went out.
That means me and Caleb are alone in the house. I should ask him why he behaved like that in the mall. I thought and went towards his room.

His room's door is already open. Caleb is sitting on the bed staring at the keychain I gave to him.

"Caleb". I called in a low voice.

"Why are you here?" He asked not even glancing in my direction.

"I came here to talk to you". I said as I entered his room.

"Oh. So you want to talk to me now! Why don't you just call your friend and talk to him". He said angrily.

"I can't understand what you are saying". I said. Seriously I don't understand what he trying to say.

"What I meant is that why are you talking to me now. Go and flirt with your friend Joseph". He said getting up from the bed and facing me.

"I was not flirting with him". I said angrily. How he accused me flirting with Joseph.

"Yeah. But you was not stopping him as you was enjoying it". He said rudely.

"I was not stopping him because he said he sees me as a friend and why are you fighting me over this"? I asked completely irritated by his behaviour.

Caleb is acting as if he is jealous of Joseph. Wait, he is jealous of Joseph. Why will he feel that way.

"He didn't look like a friend" Caleb said with a scoff.

"What if he is not a friend? Why are you behaving like this Caleb"? I asked. I want to know what's going on inside his mind.

"You like him"? He asked looking hurt.

"What? No". I said. I want to smack his head and say I like you idiot but first I want to confirm about his feelings.

"You just said, what if he is not a friend"? He said quoting my words.

"What I meant is why it is effecting you if he is not just a friend? Why are you behaving as if you are jealous"? I finally asked him.

"Because I am fucking jealous Emily". Caleb said striding towards me.

"Why"? I asked. I couldn't form a sentence. Caleb accepted that he is jealous. Caleb hold my arms and said

"You don't know Angel? I am jealous because I didn't liked the way he was looking at you. I didn't liked how you were smiling at him". He paused for sometime and said

" I love you Emily". I just stood there shocked by his confession. I don't know how should I react. He looked at me and said in a dejected voice
" its okay if you didn't feel the same way".

I hugged him as tears started falling from my eyes. I can't believe he loves me. I started crying like a child. Sometimes I hate why I cry at wrong situations.

"Hey, why are you crying"? He asked softly.
Wiping my tears.

"I am sorry. I shouldn't have told you about my feelings". He said with a sad smile.

"No. I am not crying for it. I can't believe you love me". I said looking at him.

"I love you too Caleb". I told him finally.

"You love me"? He asked with a surprised expression.

"Yes. I do". I said smiling at him.

He grinned at my confession and hugged me.
