Chapter 24

I left Caleb's office after spending some quality time with him. I came home and baked a chocolate cake for Williams. I will take it when we leave for the dinner I thought to myself and then placed the cake in the fridge and went to my room. Sophie and Michael are out. Mom and dad are also busy. I took my iPad and started watching an online series. It's so amazing. It is a story about a boy and girl who lives in a judgemental society and how they face the society for each other's happiness. I was so engrossed in the series that I didn't checked the time. I realized the time when mom entered my room and asked
"Emily, are you ready? We are leaving for the dinner".

I closed my iPad in a hurry and got up from the bed as I told her
" I will join you guys in just 5 minutes".

I said and went towards my closet. I am already wearing a white shirt with black Jean's so I just wore a black jacket and went down pulling my hairs into a ponytail. I don't feel like applying makeup now.

"I am ready. Lets go". I said as I came down and took the cake out.

"What's that Emily"? Sophie asked pointing at the cake.

"It's a cake". I said to her.

"I know idiot. What I mean is why are you holding it now"?. Sophie asked.

"I baked it for Williams". I said.

"That's great sweetheart". Mom said appreciating my effort.

"We should leave now". Dad said to all of us.

"Kiddo come with me. In my car". Michael said. I just nodded and went behind him.

I sat at the back and as Sophie sat in the front. Well I forced her to sit at front.

"That's not fair Em. We always sit together whenever we ride with Michael". Sophie said looking back at me.

"Yeah but before you were just my best friend and now you are his girlfriend. So you should act like one". I said winking at her.

"Emily is right". Michael said and winked at her.

She covered her face while we laughed at her. We reached at the Williams mansion after 20 minutes ride. For the whole ride we teased Sophie a lot to which she replied "I will take my revenge".

Three of us went inside. Mom and dad were already present along with Williams and Ryan.

Hello Everyone I said as I hugged them handing over the cake to aunt Olivia. Sophie and Michael did the same.

"I baked it myself". I said to aunty.

"That's so nice of you dear. Thanks". She said with a sweet smile. We sat for sometime and soon our dinner started.

"I enjoyed a lot with you two in Italy. It's so good to finally have true friends". Isabelle said to me and Sophie.

We just smiled at her. I was busy in eating when I felt something on my leg. I suddenly looked down to see what it is.

"What happened Emily"? Isabelle asked who is sitting beside me. How can I say to her that her brother is teasing me. I warned Caleb not to do it again with my eyes.

" I think I felt something". I said concentrating on my food.

"What do you guys think about throwing a party for announcing our business partnership"? Uncle Adam asked sipping his wine.

"That's great idea uncle". Michael said.

"What do you think Emily"? Michael asked me but I didn't replied him as Caleb is still teasing me.

"Em. Are you here"? Isabelle asked shaking me.

"Ofcourse I am and Michael I already told Uncle and dad that it is a good idea". I said.

"Your mind is somewhere else". Caleb said smirking at me while I glared at him.

"What about this Saturday Caleb"? Uncle Adam asked him. Before he answers I kicked on his leg to move it from my leg.

"Ouch". Caleb said narrowing his eyes at me.

"What "? Uncle asked.

"It's completely fine by me dad".  Caleb said.

"Then We will have the party on Saturday". Dad said.

"Michael and Isabelle will arrange the party for their brother and sister". Uncle Adam said to which mom and aunt Olivia agreed.

"Yeah. Ryan and Sophie will also help them". Mom said.

"Ofcourse we will. Aunty Anna". Ryan said.

"Make sure it has to match our standard guys". Dad said to Michael.

"Ofcourse dad". Michael told him.

"Emily this cake is so delicious". Aunt Olivia said.

"Yes. It is awesome. I didn't knew you are good at baking as well". Uncle Adam said appreciating me to which I just smiled.

"Cooking and baking are her hobbies". Caleb said nonchalantly enjoying the cake.

"How do you know"? Ryan asked wiggling his eyebrows.

"She told me when she brought cupcakes for me at the office". Caleb said to him.

"You didn't like to eat sweet things. Remember"? Isabelle asked in a surprised tone.

"Yeah. But I like it now". Caleb told her. She just nodded and continued her eating.

After dinner we discussed about the party and soon we left for home.

I took a shower. Wore a hoodie with sweatpants and went to bed. I took my phone and messaged Caleb.

"Hey". I sent.

"Hi. Still awake"? He messaged me.

"Missing someone special". I messaged.

"Oh. So you are missing me?" He replied.

"I said someone special. Not you". I messaged teasing him.

"That hurts baby" Caleb messaged me back with a sad emoji.

"Aww my big bear is hurt". I messaged.

"Yes and he wont talk to you unless you agree to go on shopping with him tomorrow". He sends.

"Ok. Anything for my boyfriend". I texted him and soon we both said goodnight to each other and I fell asleep.
