Lost Love

Chapter 19

We enjoyed a lot playing truth and dare. Then we took a nap and decided to watch a horror movie at night. I am not a fan of horror movies. But still I agreed to it because I don't want to give them a chance to tease me more.

The emptiness I used to feel is no more. May be it is because I made new friends or because of Caleb. I don't know. But I feel happy now like my heart is at peace. Some people come in your life and make you feel so happy that you can't imagine your life without them and that people are Ryan and the Williams family. I am glad I met them.

"Emily, come on Ryan has started the movie. Let's go". Sophie said interrupting my thoughts as we both went towards Ryan's room.

Isabelle and Ryan are sitting on the floor while Caleb is at bed and Michael is at Couch. Sophie sat beside Michael that means I have to sit on bed. I sat at the other side of the bed and soon the picture started.

I screamed when suddenly a ghost appeared on the screen and moved towards Caleb's side holding his hands in mine. As the movie progressed I saw Ryan, Isabelle, Michael and Sophie are asleep. I continued to watch the movie as I am not sleepy yet. Caleb is also watching the movie sitting beside me. I am still holding his hands. As the movie ends we both got up and went outside the room.

"I am sorry. I was scared". I said blushing a little gesturing towards his hand.

"It's okay Angel. You can hold it forever if you like". As soon as he spoke our eyes met. I can see the intensity of his words in his eyes. And now I knew that I just don't like Caleb Williams, I am in love with him.

I nodded and ran towards my room. I am in love with my big bear. Deep down in my heart I have always loved him but it's realization is making me feel euphoric. But what will I do if he didn't like me back. I don't want to lose his friendship. I am confused, what should I choose between love and friendship. I think I'll choose his friendship. He is my friend first. I can't make our friendship awkward confessing my feelings towards him. If he didn't liked me back he will lose his best friend as well. I can't to this to him.

I didn't realised I was crying until my tears fall on my hand. I wiped my tears and went to sleep.

As the morning came, I got up and started getting ready. I went down for breakfast and greeted everyone while sitting on the chair.

"Emily". Sophie called me.

"Yes?". I asked looking at her.

"Please don't be mad at me". She said.

"Why she will be mad at you Soph"? Michael asked her.

"Well..... I was talking to Joseph this morning, and I said we are in Italy". She said.

"So" ? I asked raising my eyebrows because I know there is more.

"He said he wants to meet us So I gave him the address". She completed.

"Oh god. I don't want to meet him". I said in an  irritated manner.

"Who is Joseph"? Michael asked reminding me that we are at breakfast table and everyone is watching us.

"Joseph is our college friend. He is a nice guy but Emily doesn't like him because he flirts with her all the time".

"I would love to meet him then". Isabelle smirking a little. They love to annoy me.

The door bell rang indicating someone is here. Aunty Maria went to see who is it.

"Emily, Sophie you have a guest". Aunty Maria said.

"Hello Soph. How are you"? Joseph said grinning from ear to ear.

"Hi. I am fine. What about you "? She asked motioning him to join him for breakfast. He sat in front of me.

"Hi Emily". He said to me with a flirty smile.

"Hello". I said.

"Good morning everyone, I am Joseph. Sophie's and Emily's friend".

Everyone replied to him except Caleb. Its not a new thing for Caleb.

As we finished our breakfast, we decided to go for shopping today. We got ready and went out and Joseph joined us. It's not like I hate him or something he is good friend but I don't like the way he flirts with me all the time.

We took taxi and went to the mall. As we entered the mall Joseph was trying to flirt with me again but Caleb took my hand and dragged me into a book store. I sighed in relief as I roaming in the store. Caleb was holding a book in his hand I went towards him and asked
"What are you reading"?

He hid the book behind and just shook his head saying nothing. He kept the book in its place and told me to follow him but I saw the book cover. It's a romantic novel. Oh, Caleb likes to read romantic stuff.

"So what do you want to buy"? Caleb asked.

"I don't know". I said with a pout.

"Then let's go to that shop". Caleb said and took me to a makeup store.

"Why are we here"? I asked.

"To buy makeup". He replied in duh tone.

"I know you don't wear a lot of makeup but still girls like this kind of stuff". He said gesturing towards the makeup.

"Fine". I said and started buying it. As I completed my makeup shopping I went to the counter to pay the bill.

"Go and wait outside, I'll pay". Caleb said.

"No. I'll pay for it". I said taking out my card.

"I said I will pay Angel". I nodded and went outside to wait for him.

"Hey". Joseph said startling me.

"What the hell Joseph". I said turning around.

"I want to talk to you, come with me". He said and before I could say no he dragged me towards a food court.

"So. What do you want to talk about?" I asked after we ordered a pizza. Well he forced me to order first.

"Why do you hate me"? He asked me directly.

"I don't hate you. It's just that I don't like your flirty nature". I told him honestly.

"I liked you since we were in college but I know you don't feel the same way that's why I moved on. I have a girlfriend now". He said with a bright smile.

"That's great and I am sorry". I said.

" You Don't need to say sorry and flirt with you because I like to annoy you". He said.

We both started eating and laughing remembering our college days when we heard a voice

"You guys are eating without us". Sophie said.

Everyone is standing in food court. Isabelle and Sophie are watching me with bright smile while Ryan and Michael are watching us with amused expression but Caleb's expression got my attention. He is watching us with a clenched jaw.
