Chapter 36

Today is Caleb's birthday. Me and Ryan are doing our best to make his birthday special. Most of the work is done by Ryan. He booked a party hall as well as caterers. I just chose a theme and told them how to decorate the hall. We even planned my surprise but I am feeling nervous. What if he didn't like it.

"Calm down Em. He will love it". Ryan said placing his hand on my shoulder.

"What if...." I started but he cut off saying " Don't stress yourself over it. Just relax".

"Your boyfriend almost punched me last night". Ryan said.

"What? Why?" I asked.

"When it comes to you he is over possessive. He thought you like me more than him". Ryan laughed.

"You should have told him that you are like a brother to me". I said him.

"It's fun watching jealous Caleb". Ryan chuckled.

After checking everything for the last time we both went to our homes for getting ready for the party.

I wore a black gown and tied my hair into a bun. After doing my makeup I went down. I chose a black colour gown because I told Ryan to make sure Caleb wears a black suit.
Mom and dad were waiting for me. They said Michael and Sophie already left.

Soon we reached the party hall. As we get inside I spotted Uncle Adam and aunt Olivia attending the guest.

"Good evening uncle and aunt" I hugged them both.

"Wow! Emily you look beautiful". Aunt olivia praised me.

"Thanks. Umm.. Where is Caleb"? I asked.

"He is not here yet". Aunty said.

"He will be here in 10 minutes". Uncle informed me.

Mom and dad greeted them. I excused myself from them and went towards Isabelle and Sophie.

"Hey girls! You are looking pretty". I said.

"You are looking so stunning Em". Isabelle said.

"Where is Michael and Ryan"? I asked looking around.

"They are coming with Caleb". Sophie said.

"But mom said you and Michael left together". I said to Sophie.

"Yes. But Ryan called us and told us to come at Isabelle's apartment. So that me and Isabelle can go together and they went to Caleb's home". She said. I nodded at her.

"Finally the birthday boy is here! Isabelle yelled.

I turned around and found Caleb at the entrance along with Ryan and Michael. He is wearing black suit and he is looking very hot . Three of us went towards him.

Everyone was wishing him happy birthday. Except me. The way he is glancing at me I know he is waiting for me to wish him. But I ignored him. I just want to have some fun before revealing my surprise.

"So Caleb do you like the party "? I asked.

"It's very great Angel. Thank you". Caleb smiled at me.

"Don't thank me alone. Me and Ryan did this together". I said. Listening to this his smile faded.

"Thanks a lot Ryan". Caleb said with a fake smile.

"My pleasure". Ryan smirked at him.

Everyone was enjoying the party. We danced a lot and now it's time for birthday cake.

"First make a wish". Isabelle told Caleb.

Caleb just rolled his eyes at her then his eyes connected with mine. He closed his eyes to make a wish and cuts the cake.
